Keith Thurman and Danny Garcia split a disclosed $4m for their fight on CBS.

I'd argue Bud vs Spence/Thurman/Garcia vs Porter winner should be paying both guys more than 2M. Hell if Bud is getting 3M now what sense would it make to fight Spence for 2M?

Thing I see with PBC which most cats never mention is their highs are lower & there lows are higher like that Thurman vs Danny fight indicates cuz I think one would assume both guys deserve more than 2M for that fight. But when they are getting paid a M or M & a half for bs fights then getting less than you'd expect for the bigger fights is just evening things out. Or thats what I feel like I'm seeing with those core PBC guys anyway.

And thats not gonna work with non-PBC guys fighting a PBC guy. The non-PBC guy is gonna need to get paid. If the PBC end of the fight wants to take their standard 2M fair play.

Crawford made out with the bag though; hopefully he's got good people around to make sure his affairs are handled properly for him and his children.

Hopefully he does.

You'd think these guys who are making 7 digits a night would take the effort to search out some knowledgable & trustworthy guys to help them figure out the best options with this windfall of money, that'll never be in play again once their career is over, who's not some long lost cousins baby mamas ex-bf like too many cats seem to do.

Yea I wouldn't disagree with any of this outside of maybe how highly a ranked guy he could get with a 500k carrot.

If Bud is to get one of these career defining fights with Spence or Thurman or perhaps even todays winner it'll have to be on PPV I tend to believe. And with that there is issues of there being enough money to split up between rival promoters & platforms & agreeing in general which needs to happen before the fight could happen. And I couldn't really blame these fights not happening on anything more than the business of boxing which has been the biggest problem for the entertainment of boxing & for boxing fans.

Honestly, not sure; the Haymon guys that went over to fight Crawford at 140 seemed to get around $500k for the trip.

Still, with Crawford now on an apparent $3m a fight, even if he gets fighters at 147 to come over for $500k (doubt that'd work for anyone in the top 15, tbh), the numbers don't make sense. Crawford generating enough business to offset $4m in outlays?
