      My source is BoxingScene.

HBO Might Not Air Kovalev-Alvarez Rematch; Negotiations Ongoing
HBO has televised Sergey Kovalev’s past 14 fights either live on the network or on pay-per-view. Kovalev’s streak of consecutive appearances on that premium cable network could end there. Main Events CEO Kathy Duva, Kovalev’s promoter, told BoxingScene.com on Friday that the network has declined its contractual option to air a light heavyweight championship rematch between Kovalev and Eleider Alvarez, who knocked out Kovalev in the seventh round August 4 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

What's your source that this is false?

HBO might still do it for less money, and this is why we never got the Stevenson fight. If they went to purse bid Haymon would put up more money, and Showtime would have got the fight. I don't know what they plan to do in the future. All they have now is Golden Boy. Top Rank's gone, Duva doesn't have anyone left, K2?

How many good cards can they put out.

Of course Stevenson knows this. Made a career of ducking talented fighters. One thing you can never do anymore is compare Stevenson to Kovalev. The gap in talent faced is staggering. One was a warrior willing to fight the best the other a paper champ content to fight trash outside of Jack who should be champ right now.

In his Prime Stevenson knocks them all out IMHO, Ward, B-Hop, Kovalev, Bivol etc.
He's a ducker and a piece of garbage, but he's one of the most talented fighters i've ever seen waste his career.
Really pathetic tbh. Great speed, power, good defense and measure of distance and a pretty high ring IQ.
My Guess is he only box because he was good at it, doesn't seem like he loved the sport.

That's the fact. Beterbiev was the only man avoided by Kovalev and Ward shamelessly retired to avoid having to defend against him as IBF mandatory.

Beterbiev beats every light heavyweight right now. Kovalev was always a bit overrated and I thought Beterbiev & Bivol were always better even back to amateurs.

                      Best light heavies in order:

                      1. Beterbiev
                      2. Bivol
                      3. Alvarez
                      4. Ward
                      5. Gvodzyk
                      6. Kovalev
                      7. Jack
                      8. Stevenson
