    Pacquiao-Hatton.

Why was Pacquiao able to destroy Hatton like he did? Was it because of the problems Hatton had in training? Or was he just tailor-made for Pacquiao?

Hatton was done after the Floyd fight anyway, he even said himself. He looked poor v Lazcano and was even getting help from the ref when he was rocked and then he beat Paulie but then every decent fighter he faced did.

It's a mix of being almost shot and living a poor lifestyle of drink, drugs and ballooning in weight, that caught up with him.

Also it was basically a bad style for Ricky, probably any version of him. You can't really go lunging into a prime Pacquiao trying to block shots with your face.

And let's not forget, Pacquiao was probably juicing around that point. Even Roach doesn't seem that convinced that Ariza wasn't giving him something.

I think Hatton trained longer than usual for that fight. You could make a case that he had the wrong trainer, not much he could do anyway, stylewise it’s already a problem
add the fact that that was Pac’s absolue peak,
moving towards him with your hands down didn’t help as well.

Hatton said it himself how to beat Manny!!

Instead of training hard, he watches tv and have a good time.. thinking that everything is already set in stone.

He should not blame others for his own actions or INACTION!

12 effin weeks of training the right hook, roll under and still fell for it. You cant teach old dogs new tricks.

One of the best highlight KO's. Hatton made a mistake by trading punches with Manny.

                Totally tailor made for Pacquaio.

Didn't help he was on the decline either.

Pacquiao was much better and tailor made to beat him. Hatton was a mauler charging in to hold and hit. He was not hard to hit and didn't have a great chin. Pacquiao was a sharp shooter with lightning fast hands and one punch power. That result was going to happen no matter who trained Hatton or how well he prepared.
