    Makes sense.

Kovalev is washed up, been stopped twice, and draws BS attendance, he is no longer a draw, he has now become a developing gatekeeper, why the f^^k should HBO pay top dollar for that?

The problem with that is it's less likely to make money. They can't just give the fighters a pay cut and expect them to still fight.

Kovalev is going to lose again and Alvarez is going back to fight on Showtime afterwards.

HBO wants that GoT international syndication revenue, sports doesn't pay out like that, hell they just dumped all their soft-core **** they had running since they started in the early 80's because it didn't make them any money.

            IRONY

Since Duva time and time again would
Claim loyalty to hbo and not entertain fights on showtime including kovalev vs Adonis cause hbo she felt was superior and she wanted to stay loyal to them, instead of making the best fight possible for her client, and in the end, the network can’t even help her, she look dumb

Forget HBO if they aren't gonna air the fight or boxing as a whole. On the next network. Plenty of other places for this fight to go.

With a decent undercard bout this fight will garner better than average ratings. If HBO bails then another network or platform will step up. Kovalev is no longer in his prime but with a competitive co-main, this fight will produce!

I wonder why Duva has anything to say in it anymore ... Alvarez won, Alvarez sets the rules for the rematch... Screw HBO... Kovalev has to bow, take a knee, oblige to the new king or just duck as he did with Stevenson... Simple...
