In this case how are they going to inspect the gloves??? The gloves have no track record. They would have to take them apart and examine the polyurethane padding and make sure the padding is of good quality and won't degrade under stress. The NSAC has already said no to the gloves being used in the rematch so they have some reservations. The situation where the trainer supplying the gloves is an accident wanting to happen IMO. Why do rival coaches watch the opponent get his hands wrapped. After all there are officials there that are supposed to do the same thing. It's because a boxers hands can be a lethal weapon if rules aren't followed. No trainer is going to leave the safety of their fighter hinge on the practices of the opponents camp. Gloves are a piece of safety equipment and should be supplied by someone who doesn't have a huge stake in who wins the fight. You may not agree but that's how I see it.

I mean just move on and fight someone else then like Jacobs, Saunders, Charlo, Andrade or his Mando Sergiy!! GGG must want that money really bad if he's this persistent to fight a guy who DOES NOT have a belt and coming off a SUSPENSION for PEDs AND he had his IBF STRIPPED from him. Move on GGG or quit being a chump and take the fight that you've been asking for, for YEARS!!
Hell yes, the money matters. If you're 36 years old, nearing the end of your career, you're crazy to turn down this kind of money.

Canelo and GoldenBoy are pretty shady. But they can be beat anyway, even when they have unfair advantages (judges, gloves, wrapping, PEDs.) The goal is to try to reduce the cheating as much as possible, and try to get a somewhat fair fight.

They don't consider the wear and tear. It's the weight and location of the padding. 10 ounces. Also, when did NSAC make a final ruling. Loeffler said he thinks Alvarez has to use traditional. That's not a ruling.

Is it possible a legit manufacturer made the No Boxing No life brand of gloves? Think about that instead of how this just can't be allowed.

Is Abel Sanchezs gripe legitimate in your eyes as far as the new gloves Canelo wants to wear? I guess I kind of understand it seeing how they are new and haven't been worn in a championship fight yet. Not to mention that his trainer apparently made them

Dan Rafael, King Fight Freak (12:57 PM)

Yes. They are untested and do not conform to Nevada's rules. The commission allows fighter to select their brand of gloves but they have to be approved and tested by the commission.

The only concern Sanchez voiced was them tearing and giving Alvarez rest. Why are you guys creating other issues to argue with. If the head trainer isn't concerned about it shouldn't you as a fan be ok with it?

No your right they haven't made a comprehensive ruling on the glove itself. I was talking about the rematch primarily. To be clear. I think no one that close to a fighter should be allowed to supply gloves of a brand he owns for his own fighters. That's my take on it. I know you disagree or appear to disagree that's your view. I voiced my concerns.

How did you come to that conclusion? The head trainer isn't concerned about it. The were concerned enough to file a complaint.

Dude it's also the quality of the padding, the leather used, the stitching and how the laces sit on the glove. Ok then who is it that makes the gloves??? Anything is possible but the NASC said no for a reason. What reason would that be??
