FOX gets priority over SHO on certain fights? I don't think that will be true. I'm sure they will get plenty of big fights though.

Anyways, I hope SHO starts doing more business with Frank Warren. Now that all Matchroom cards will go on DAZN, they can get some more quality on their facebook or youtube sites by getting the BT Sports cards. Now, they have been doing that with Fury/Frampton/Selby, but maybe a bit more. It wouldn't cost them much I don't think to get rights to those fights. Unless of course ESPN+ bids higher for them, which they very well may.

Haymon has more dates, for more money, than ever. Haymon has more world champions than ever. Haymon has a higher percentage of the top US stars than ever. HBO boxing is on the brink of death. Main Events is on the brink of death. Golden Boy has one fighter and will be on the brink of death after him.

Haymon is in a stronger position than ever.

This has nothing to do with the Joshua/Wilder fight....And the flat offer will be out the window after Wilder fights Fury anyways.

yes Fox network (main channel) will get priority of fights, that's the scuttle. Hence paying more. My guess is FS1 and Showtime will get similar level fights.

Wilder, Spence, Garcia, and the twins are all solid properties to build around.
I think guys like Spence/Wilder can get the fights they want, but it will helps others like Tank Davis if they want to be more active. Charlo brothers, Tank, LSC, GRJ, etc have only fought once this yea and they have no fights lined up yet...I'm sure that will change, but when SHO goes quiet at this time of the year, FOX can step up and put on their big cards to make up for it.

Don't buy this at all. SHO wouldn't have given PBC this type of extension to air FS1 level of fights. They will still air the type of quality they have been airing the last two years.

Clearly Haymon didn't expect to convince every network to buy content after the time buys, and he didn't need to. Ending up with a big FOX deal, while simultaneously getting SHO to give a bigger deal too, is really the best case scenario he could have hoped for here.

He could have had the ESPN deal, but ESPN wanted exclusivity (Fox did too btw, but he got them to cave). The ESPN deal was a life saver for TR, but when that deal eventually runs up, TR will have nowhere else to go, so they'll be at ESPN's mercy. Haymon is the only one here with a safe future.
I agree with all of this.

Sidenote: Btw, I'm still convinced you work for either a promoter, PBC or Showtime. Your takes on this stuff aren't coming from a place of general interest lol I'm just a lawyer with an MBA so I understand the strategy from a 30,000 foot view. You however, are much more on point. Stop holding out on tickets lol We need that love. Freebies at Barclays have dried up for some time now.

Not a fan of non Premium TV fights due to the low production value, constant commercials, constant censorship of the corners, and the lame commentators.

But hey, broke boys gotta get their fix somehow

Think of it this way, say there are 8-10 main fox channel shows in a year (slightly less than one a month) uncle Al has plenty of good fighters to fill the rest of those dates. But Fox is paying a bigger deal so of course they want priority on the best say 5-6 of those fights for network television. Showtime will likely get a good fights, but they aren't going to get the fights they were putting on CBS. Those will go to Fox. That's the scuttle. Seems really reasonable if your Haymon, your big bad best non PPV fights you want in 100 mln households. That's a huge carrot to the fighters. If Fox is going to cross promote as Dan has indicated in his article, you aren't cross promoting Sergio Mora, your cross promoting Errol Spence and the Charlos, Wilder, etc. Fox is using other assets which Showtime doesn't have (like the NFL and Nascar) like they did with the UFC.
