He had options to keep the belt. He chose the money fight. Simple as that. Heck he could of fought Dervy in May. Buuuuut....
GGG doesn't get a free pass just because Alvarez popped positive and got suspended. Everyone knew the rematch was postponed till September. The steps GGG took in between said that he wod prefer to protect the big money fight at all cost rather than keep the IBF belt.Comment

1 is your opinion
2 is your opinion
3 who cares if triple puss is mad, that doesn't have any influence on anything
4 Canelo fights for money but doesnt come out and os hypocritical about it by saying he doesnt care about money only belts legacy like ggg does
5 ggg based on numbers only not my opinion, dosent deserve more than 70-30 so him agreeing doesnt mean sh.it
6 ggg couldn't beat canelo so why did he demand and get more? Oh yeah because canelo made the fight happen bot only for his fans but for you gggroupies, ggg don't care about his fans he was willing to walk from the fight... Canelo made ir happen! Give props to cashnelo
Cotto-clenelo split was 55% for Cotto.
You are just a hater. Nothing more.Comment

You ****** a$$hole, GGG could denand more money in the first fight. Are you so ******? What does 70-30 mean? It was humilation. Dumbass!Comment

Khan does not equal brook you dumb ass. Brook did not have the majority of his fights at lightweight and wasn't ko'd twice already nor was he dropped and wobbled about 15 times in his career. Wtf do Loma and linares have to do with this? I don't give 2 s**ts about Loma or linares. You're so desperate to defend Canelo that you're bringing up irrelevant s**t. I've yet to meet a Canelo fan on here who is intelligent enough to make valid arguments in his defense. Maybe it's because he can't be defended or maybe it's because his fans are inbred idiots.Comment

In what world does a mandatory get enforced for a short notice fight cuz the original opponent dropped out? Yes he coulda fought derevyanchenko instead of vanes and satisfied the mandatory, but he got stripped cuz he chose to fight canelo once his suspension was up...which wouldn't have happen if Canelo didn't **** up the originally scheduled fight.Comment

You are right about that but you aren't addressing Canelo's resume, just pointing him at someone who people clearly didn't want to fight. So I will post it again, how in the world is your resume great when you have 52 fights and 4 notable names on it. 2 out 4 of which were pretty far into the end of their careers...and any other name with any value is from fighters like Mosley who had seen their best days nearly 5 years before you fought them...the discussion here is Canelo's resume. Not a comparison to Golovkin so stop deflecting. Since you are the super Canelo fan I want you to argue what's so great...i'll wait.
I'll give you the following:
Floyd
Lara
Trout (Only because he beat Cotto before he was washed up)
Let's go...Explain to me the other 47 not named Golovkin or Cotto.
Canelo didn't do the "hold your hand" amateur boxing system. He turned pro at 15 years old. Gennady was still on his mommy's breast then.
Canelo went 21-0 (against unknowns, sure) from 15-18 years old. Nobody does that. Nobody.
Canelo would go on to win another 13 fights from 18-21 years of age against - again - largely unknowns.
He then proceeded to fight veterans in Baldomir, Ndou, Cintron, Rhodes, Hatton's brother, and Shane Mosley...nothing wrong with a KID beating any version of Shane Mosley at 21 years of age.
He beats Trout, Lara, and Angulo and picks up a learning loss against Floyd during his 22nd and 23rd years of life...and since you want to be a revisionist I can fix it for you XD
37% of you and your kin had Angulo KO/TKO'ing Canelo and it was largely considered a 50/50 fight
Hell these idiots are still around and they're goddamn GGG buffoons
And of course this ****** LMFAO

That puncher's chance looks damn good in this fight though.
Up until his eye ballooned against Lara, he was up 86-83 in one scorecard and down just a single point on the other two. His work rate and knockdowns could get him a decision here as preposterous as that sounds. Canelo doesn't manage distance as well as Lara does and there are several periods where Canelo stands literally toe-to-toe trying to think of his next move.
I smell an upset, I really do.
He also beats Trout, Cotto, and Lara who were considered #3-#5 with Canelo at #2 and Floyd at #1 (whom he fought and lost to)...all under the age of 25.
Then he takes on payday fights in Khan and JCC Jr. and helps build his media profile while beating a tough up-and-comer Liam Smith in a stay-busy fight until cruising in his first fight at MW against the supposed boogeyman...who looks flat-out amateur.
Canelo has among the BEST resumes in boxing today.
And don't blame Canelo for Josesito Lopez...he was the 4th/desperation choice. It was supposed to be Paul Williams, then James Kirkland, then Victor Ortiz...all who pulled out from injuries, etc.

It's not your fault you have mental delays and don't understand :/

So the Angulo fight was largely a toss-up until AFTER the fight. Then it was "oh, he was a bum". Nope. Great win by Canelo which I called to the "t".
