Not to mention that if they didn't learn that they need to dominate in order to get a decision over canelo, then they're set up for failure. For Canelos team, if they think that they won clearly last time then they're kidding themselves. They deserved the loss and they seem to subconsciously believe that as long as they last 12 and take minimal punishment, that they deserve to win despite allowing ggg to control the pace of the last fight.
Good points here. I've seen GGG say he's only watched the first fight once while Canelo said 10+ times. Adjustment is a valued tactic because there's always room for improvement, from both fighters. It sounds like Golovkin's plan is simply more pressure & aggression while Canelo's team is actually strategizing when & how to be most effective to counter GGG. I've also heard Abel say it doesn't matter what opponents do, Golovkin will do what he does & force the opponent to adjust to him. I'm not sure if this is just gamesmanship or really their plan but obviously it didn't get them the win in the first fight no matter what most think, so it's time to adjust. You can't just run head first trying to make it a brawl when the other is doing everything he can to avoid that. Gotta be smarter here, pick your spots & then capitalize on them. It's no coincidence that his first tough test had months with Hunter & Ward working a specific game-plan to counter Golovkin's offense.

Both Canelo & Jacobs (to a lesser extent) were simply happy to make it the distance of 12. They weren't actually trying to win, the win was in not getting KO'd. It's so much harder to knock your opponent out when this is their mindset. Golovkin should accept that & adjust to simply boxing on the outside if this is once again Canelo's plan. He really didn't fight smart the last 3 rounds in the first fight by abandoning his defense which opened the door for Saul to get back in the fight. It's not his style though & not sure he can settle for winning a boring fight. He'll bring more pressure from the outset in hopes of tiring Canelo out earlier & setting him up to be stopped late. This will expose GGG so Saul will definitely have his opportunities to catch Golovkin flush once again. He's banking too much on his chin rather than his mind. Don't get me wrong, I hope he can KO Saul, just think it's the harder road to tow when your opponent is not willing to take the same risks you are.

I thought Abel Sanchez was GGG's trainer, bleh. You got to beat the champion not just make it 12 rounds, reynosos are as bad as Sanchez.

Someone should tell this clown, that running all night on PEDs like a frighten gazelle and having judge on a payroll does not mean you beat a Champion!

Ggg outworked Canelo and had a great jab, but nothing else. You dont get points for having a beard lol. Having a chin just enables you to fight a certain way...only lasts so long tho XD

Canelo won on my card also. Wasn't even a debate tbh. Good movement, great defense, good counters, good adjustments.

Gennady was in great shape, threw tons of punches although didnt land more than a jab, and had a great chin.

May the best man win again (Canelo)
You're just a racist fan boy and a pos. In an MMA match, I'd just smack the **** out of you once, you'd hit the canvas and tap, pu55y.

The trainers are “clearly” blind as evidenced by missing the meat Clenelo was eating-LOL!!!
Everyone saw a close fight, including boxing experts. What f@cking fight were they watching! Deservably a draw!

The lara fight and Trout fights both had at least one score that was horrible. Few would ever complain if the judges were at least consistant.

I think GGG would have done better in the 1st fight if he had an idea Canelo would fight totally different than he had his last 45 fights. He'll be better prepared this time.

Lol with this kind of denial and Oscar as your promoter , not to mention a fired up G. in front of you. I suppose even though he tried to cheat an advantage there's got to be an element of pity for him..... hasn't there?

when I made that exact sentiment just a few days ago, you called me a hater

                    props ^^

Jacobs/Canelo not " going out on their shield " does not mean that they were not fighting to win..... because you can say the exact same thing about Golovkin

the fact is..... when a pressure fighter is being outboxed - like what happened for long periods in that fight - he needs to take risks..... and you guys seem to forget/ignore that Golovkin was a lot more timid against Jacobs/Canelo than previous (static) opponents, and both of those fights went down to the wire

based on that, I think that Golovkin was lucky to keep his titles against a superstar in Vegas..... and he will need to do even more in the rematch, because Canelo will be better no question

why was I a " hater " when I said is..... but you were wise when you said it?

Don't know what the heck Canelo is going to do. When a supposed superior boxer gets out boxed it doesn't leave much room for improvement. Couldn't slip Golovkin's jab either. His stamina has always been an issue also. . Canelo has to improve both his boxing and stamina in order to be competitive. He's not going to be able to do it. Canelo has to bank on Golovkin slowing down if he is to have a chance to win. He can't afford to be dominated again like the last fight.
