The picture in this article says it all. Look at Alvarez. He's kinda like 'yeah, I guess I won sorta because it's going to the judges'.

Bottom line is CANELO comes in lighter and beats GG to the punch by boxing him he wins 9 to 3 easily. Speed kills power if the power has nothing to hit.

I hate the whole "he doesn't like it to the body" crap a lot of people like to accuse fighters of because literally no one likes body shots.

That said, GGG has the best jab in boxing he needs to take a page from Mayweather and throw it to the body instead of soley to the head. He NEVER jabs to the body only hooks with his opponent trapped or on the ropes.

I havent seen a sustained body attack from Golovkin in YEARS some seem to think it just started in the Canelo fight but I think the last time I seen him attack the body of anyone with bad intentions was Murray. Since then hes been head hunting everyone idk how his team hasnt corrected that

Ggg outworked Canelo and had a great jab, but nothing else. You dont get points for having a beard lol. Having a chin just enables you to fight a certain way...only lasts so long tho XD

Canelo won on my card also. Wasn't even a debate tbh. Good movement, great defense, good counters, good adjustments.

Gennady was in great shape, threw tons of punches although didnt land more than a jab, and had a great chin.

May the best man win again (Canelo)
Canelo who has a history of being favored by the judges actually won the fight but was robbed of victory. Yeah sure... And pigs fly.

Wow! If Canelo's team really believes he won the first fight than it's apparent Canelo isn't the only one on drugs!

I think it was a close fight, maybe ggg pulled it off,,but even If I feel ggg won,i still give credit to canelo,a lot of people thought golovkin was going to just dominate him and ko him,,it didn't happen, even if canelo lost ,he still put up a good fight

Of course they are going to say that. Their just trying to keep canelo hyped and telling him he won. Thats what they get paid for. What are they gonna do tell him the truth? If canelos leaves them they won't have s**t to fall on. They don't have anyone else to pay there bills. He could of thrown more punches in the first fight since he claimed that he wasnt bothered by GGG punches he chose not to. Whats so different this time around? Good luck getting any more boxers to come to ur gym to train to run amd call it enormous defense. Any true Mexican boxer has great offense thats what makes them great.

You need to fight more than 30 seconds to one minute of each round to honestly win a round.

They bragged about what his aggression was worth vs Lara, but guess that only counts when Canelo is doing it. They wouldn't even discuss a rematch with Lara because he fought like Canelo did vs GGG. Hypocrites.

Sad to say really, but we all have seen the bogus scorecards in his close fights. The worst one ever imo was his 114-114 on one of the cards vs Floyd, where he didn't win a round.
Remember when he paid judges in Lara fight?
