Protect yourself at all times!!!
In every sport, athletes push it to the edge. It’s a man’s sport, win by any means necessary. You must have gotten beaten up as a kid a lot. I grew up on the streets. WE are not having a fair fight at any point. And in that boxing ring, if we fight, I’m pushing the envelope and grabbing every competitive advantage I can to beat you. And I will do it when the ref isn’t looking. There is no such thing as a fair fight anymore, in any sport. Your fantasizing if you think so in boxing, that every fighter plays fair or has ethics inside the ring-LOL!!!
You don’t think GGG or Canelo will do something while they are fighting on the inside to gain an advantage.
I saw how Floyd was pissed at Canelo for something he did that the ref didn’t catch and how Canelo was complaining about stuff Floyd was doing on the inside. And getting back to Ward, he took those shots downstairs after he almost dropped Kovalev with the right hand. The ref could have pulled him off and deducted a point when he was aiming at the body or below the belt on the ropes. The fight could have been halted and Ward deducted a point or it could have been extended. But Ward knew they were borderline shots that were subjectively hard for the ref to make a decision on. And every shot to the body wasn’t below the belt. Ward knew what he was doing. All is fair in war, and Kovalev probably got away with some stuff too.
Again, it’s not Wards job to let up. Like, him, I’m firing at the borderline, if it lands low, it lands low. I will let the ref make a decision. The ref needs to address me. And who is to say, that Kovalev didn’t do stuff he got away with in the 1st or 2nd fights or any of his fights. He just didn’t get caught like most fighters. In the record books, Wards win was recorded as a TKO, that’s all that really matters. You can’t change that so live with it. And live with Ward being an undefeated Future HOFer who beat kovalev not once but twice & with a body shot-LOL!

As far as Ward goes I thought he lost the first fight narrowly and was going to win the second even without the stoppage. I don't care for him because he's a cheater in my estimation. I have no problem living with Ward beating Kovalev. I'm not a fan of Kovalev in fact I don't like him either. Ward should have been deducted a point and Kov given time to recover. Really it wouldn't have mattered because he was on his way to a lose anyway.

And people who know a little something about achieving at a very high level in life would unanimously agree that Ward has succeeded professionally. Ward’s career will go down in history as being more successful than Kovalev in the ring. Ward did it his way and he has never been disqualified for cheating or doping or anything in the ring. And he retired and watched Alvarez destroy his leftovers-LOL!!!!
