Charlo? lol. I could easily flip it the other way around and ask who has (either) Charlo beaten to act like he's gonna hang with Saunders? Both Andy Lee and Lemieux are better than anyone either Charlo has fought.
Now don't get me wrong, I think that Saunders vs. Charlo would be a very competitive fight either way, so I'm not downplaying Charlo. But to suggest that Saunders can't "hang" with Charlo IS downplaying Saunders and only shows your bias.
Rigo was overhyped? So what are you saying, that he got "exposed" because he lost to a guy who is not only two weight classes bigger but also arguably pound for pound number one? The reason Rigo only had one big win to his name was because all of the other "champions" in his division ran from the fight and wanted nothing to do with him. Santa Cruz, Frampton, Quigg- all of them avoided the fight.
My vote in this would probably be Crawford. Don't get me wrong, I think he's a very good fighter who's beaten everyone put in front of him, but the fact remains that he hasn't had to beat a single top fighter (unless you count Gamboa who was two weight classes too small) thus far. Two of his best opponents have recently been beaten by up and coming prospects, which says a lot. I think Crawford is very good and I hope we get the chance to see HOW good he truly is because he's in the right division to make that happen with potential opponents like Spence, Thurman, Porter and Garcia. But to crown him pound for pound number one (like some people want to) off his current resume? I disagree. He still has more to prove.
