I don't think that's his claim to fame though is it?
I think being the boxer with joint fewest fights to win a world title is up there. Being the boxer with fewest fights to win a title in a 2nd weight class and a 3rd weight class is up there too. Perhaps he gained more fame and acclaim amassing a 396-1 amateur record with 2 gold medals brought him more fame? He's also defeated Linares, Russell, Walters and Rigo in fights many picked against him and all 4 are better than Salido.
He has the best wins and accolades of any fighter with less than 30 fights in Boxing history.
I think he gained more fame in any of that than a controversial gift loss in his 2nd fight to a guy who didn't make weight and didn't land clean punches.
