Fury/Pianeta was the perfect fight for Fury...

Yes it was one-sided, yes there was no action... but Fury actually looked like he was pre-Klitschko.... clowning around and playing with an overmatched opponent.... Chisora and Hammer were previous one-sided mismatches.... and look who they gave 50/50 fights to.... Takam....Povetkin...

Fury is an enigma, you can't judge him fighting guys like Pianeta, Chisora, Hammer etc.... those guys are easy fights....

He WILL turn up for Wilder!

I think the only thing Fury needed to do today is not get tagged and look pretty sharp.

    He did that.

They will be able to sell this fight to the US easily.

I respect your opinion's mate, but we disagree on this one. Pianeta is levels below Chisora and Hammer and Fury never dented him, never had to really work but never looked dominant despite being in total control. Since his comeback, he's gotten into better shape and gotten in 14 rounds, that's it. I don't see any pop on his punches, I don't see the movement or quickness I saw before.

Fury is a bit of a lunatic, so he probably believes he can beat Wilder right now, I don't think Warren truly believes it. They would continue progressing Fury and give him more time if that's really what Warren fought. But they are cashing him out and waving their asses in Hearn's face in the process by getting Wilder in there. Honestly, this wreaks of David Haye's last comeback, 2 overmatched opponents where it's hard to see the guys flaws before a cash out. Only difference is Fury is at least smart enough (or maybe not, considering more rounds might have revealed Haye's problems) to get rounds in, but he's a shadow of his former self.

With that being said, considering how far Fury was gone, I have a hard time seeing him improving much more from where he is now, so maybe this isn't such a bad idea. Strike while the iron is hot I guess. Regardless, I've always thought Wilder is a bad matchup for Fury, even moreso than Joshua and I say that as a huge AJ fan. Unless there's an enormous change in Fury between now and December, I can't see any way he beats Wilder.

Not only that, Fury looked sharp and done 10 rounds constantly moving and throwing, that's all I needed to see.

He now has 3 months to get sparring partners and lose another 5/-10 lbs...

        Fury is back, end of.

Got 10 rounds in and won every second of every round in first gear.

I'm happy with it and I feel he's ready for Wilder.

FUry looked awful. Fighting wilder is silly after this fight, clearly wilder will destroy him.

How is Pianeta levels below Chisora and Hammer? lol that's ludicrous.... Fury beat Chisora and never came close to getting hit, that fight was even more one-sided...... Pianeta, Chisora and Hammer are all the same level... plodders who can't move, legs made of cement... Fury preys on those guys.

Fury will outbox Wilder and win every round.... Wilder needs to land a clean right or hope Fury gasses like Ortiz..... which he won't, Fury fights at his pace.

I'm going on record now,... Fury beats Wilder easily.

Wilder is a ****e boxer, and his only hope is landing a right hand or Fury gassing..... Fury makes him miss Wildly all night.

Whatever happens, it probably won't be the best Fury but it will be one good enough for the win(or loss) to be legit.

And win or lose, the guy I saw tonight is a player in division for a while. He presents problems to lots of folks.
