Joshua's Legacy Forever Tainted

You're a hypocrite because Fury does nothing but turn in boring decisions. But you're here only criticising Joshua for 2 fights. And that wasn't his fault considering how negative Takam and Parker were. Especially Parker with his running all night.I don't think AJ's legacy is "forever tainted".
But, I do think that whoever wins in late November has a good chance of being considered the best Heavy in the world.
That will be especially true if AJ turns in another boring performance next month like he has his last two times out.
AJ needs to dominate Povetkin and hope Wilder/Fury is a snoozefest (fat chance of that happening).
If those two things don't happen, AJ can hold all the belts in the world, he will still look like second best to lots of folks.Comment

There is a 15 million dollar contract waiting for Wilder in April. That's why I think he'd fight the winner. He'd fight Fury any time but he has standards so wants him when he's back on his feet properly, not when he's like this. But if it came down to it, Joshua would fight this version of Fury and smash him up. Don't fool yourself otherwise.Last edited by Sid-Knee; 08-19-2018, 09:15 PM.Comment

Wilder wanted 50/50 split before Joshua fought Parker. That right there tells you that Wilder won't fight Joshua unless he gets a retirement cheque to do so. Wilder is now back to asking for half.
It's like me saying i'll fight you but you have to give me your house. If you refuse, you're a coward. Doesn't make sense does it? Seriously, sort yourself out, man.Comment

What annoys me most is the dramatic entrance, the white Aliesque robe, the fanfare and British commentators creaming themselves and telling us "Will AJ be up to the challenge?" when everyone knows he's going to win against another easy opponent. Wilder and Fury are hurling insults and getting ready to give the fans what they want and AJ is asking for a rematch with a pensioner. Sad.Comment

Fury isn't a KO artist.
He boxes and that can be boring to those not well versed enough in the science to appreciate nuance.
Joshua is supposed to be a KO artist. And his last two fights, he didn't deliver any fireworks to speak of.
The truth is Wlad looked bad vs Jennings, two years before he fought AJ. Then he lost to Fury who could move and box.
So, of course even a washed Wlad would look good and rejuvenated vs an AJ that stands still...but, it was the same washed Wlad. AJ's inexperience also helped Klitschko look good.Comment

One thing that cannot be disputed is that Joshua fought three guys in the top ten in the division and is about to fight another one. He hasn't completed his 5th year as a pro yet.Joshua takes the safe fights? He's the one who is willing to fight the best out there. He's cleaning out the division while Wilder is either fighting bums or taking on a Fury that looks like ****. Joshua has standards which is why he wanted Fury to get back to his best before they fight. But if Fury insisted, Joshua would have no problem getting it on with this version and wiping him out.
Joshua was too scared to fight Wlad when he was champ? Are you for ****ing real? Why would a fighter with so few fights and little to no experience fight the champ at that point? It doesn't make any sense. You're talking garbage here, plain and simple.
Wilder has proven he is willing to step up for the big fights? Hahahahahahahahahaha. He's fought one old man who looked liked **** in 40 fights. That's evidence that proves you wrong in every way imaginable. Stop talking nonsense.
Within 40 fights and ten years as a pro, Wilder has only fought one fighter in the top five and two in the top ten (Stiverne I).
Yet Joshua is being questioned in the main thread here. That's backwards logic.
Sid-Knee, you see that they are spouting nonsense. It's kind of comical.Comment
