Why sign a deal that requires him to travel to the UK, fight on an unknown app, have no rematch clause, have no say in the refs, have no say in the judges, and have no say in the date? Also, what if Povetkin beats AJ or gives him a tough fight?

signing a contract for a future fight with fights coming up made no sense anything could have happened between then and wilder would be stuck in the same shtty deal. Now look... He has fury and stands to make 15mil+ and it could have a rematch clause and if the numbers do good enough give him stability and reason in future negotiations if hearn decides to negotiate in the future....
