I still think it would've been ideal for him to stay in the UK and face guys like Chisora to build popularity but it seems like he tried to do that and the promoters couldn't/wouldn't get that fight done and then Hughie was interested but went for the Pulev eliminator instead. In the US he'll fly under the radar a little a first because he doesn't have that eye-catching talent or style, he shows technical flaws and can be a bit slow. I think the matchmaking will be the key, I'm not saying these fights can/will happen but if I was picking I'd say Duhaupas for his durability, Szpilka for his awkwardness, and then someone like Breazeale or Kownacki.

April 2019 is when AJ-Wilder should happen. JJ's aim should be to make sure that by then, his reputation and skills are good enough that he can jump in and face Wilder if negotiations fall apart again.
I have some sympathy for Hayemaker, they tried to make the fights but the going rate in the UK started to rise as hw boxing became more box office. They clearly didn't have the resources to respond and JJ can't afford to wait, time isn't on his side.

Haye clearly couldn't deliver Joyce what he promised. Hopefully Haymon is more successful in convincing a higher level of opponent to risk their reputation against a dangerous novice like Joyce. I was thinking a guy like Hammer, Wach or Rudenko would be good now

Where are people getting this idea he left Haye from?

There is certainly no shame in losing to Is Usyk who is one of the best fighters on the planet.
Just watch the fight. Usyk took it easy and still made it look simple

How about get him 2 easy U.K fights to build his profile ( Ortiz declined a Whyte fight in 2016 )

Ortiz left on his own BEFORE he was going to be Joshua mandatory at some point , in which Hearn offered Ortiz another U.K fight in 2017 when Joshua was fighting Pulev to once again build his profile for Joshua , Ortiz scheduled a Derrick Rossey fight instead as well in 2017 ? lol

Ortiz CHOSE to fight Dan Martz at one point before Wilder and leave the WBA rankings altogether to persue Wilder ( he was pulled from the WBA rankngs anyway for a failure to comply with PED rules ) when all he had to do is wait until Joshua defended his 1st mandatory position .

Joyce does have white in him but that doesn’t matter to you I imagine. However Usyk did beat Joyce but in the amateurs although you already knew that and me telling you amateurs is different from professional, would not make the slightest bit of difference because we both know the reason you mentioned it in the first place. Old habits die hard
It's funny how that guy loves to bring up amateurs for Usyk beating Joyce. I guess he must hold Porters win over Usyk in the amateurs with the same high reguards.

A lot of Schaefer signed fighters are now starting to sign with Haymon. I think Balderas did recently and now Joyce. There was someone else as well I believe. Schaefer finding it difficult to get TV dates, or knows a FOX deal is on tap so that will open up even more dates.

As for Joyce, he should be as ready as he is going to be for a title shot sometime next year right? Would like someone like Kauffman or Washington next, and then put him in against Ortiz. Sink or swim time. No time to waste.

It's apparent that Joyce has no intention of defending his Commonwealth title, so why not relinquish & let someone else have a shot? Junior Fa, Nathan Gorman, Simon Kean, Daniel Dubois & Dempsey McKean all deserve a chance. Maybe even Parker/Browne could contest for it.
