It seem like NFL players are the ones making the transition to boxing or MMA. Basketball players might be a little too soft to get punched face.

Do tall/athletic NBA players have the most potential in boxing?

If they were meant to be fighters, they’d be fighters.
Anybody that knows about boxing knows physicality has very little To do with who excels as a boxer. Big Muscles don’t win fights.
Lebron don’t seem like the fighter type either, great athlete but he still comes off as soft. The fight game would eat him

True words being spoken right here!
People are obsessed with muscles and just treating people like pieces of meat...they just think because someone looks a certain way he will be good at this or that...
Its a disservice to sport. Its ignorant.
Hard work, discipline and talent make champions.
It's common sense that you need to have certain anthropometric measurements to participate in this or that sport (that is a given) but its hard work that pays dividends.
LeBron is a basketball player, what else is there to discuss.
LeBron is a great athlete, so are Olympic weightlifters and professional volleyball players. There are thousands of 6'6" 250lb men if all ethnicities around the planet...I guess they would all make great boxers?Last edited by Banderivets; 08-16-2018, 03:09 PM.Comment

Lebron and Vitali are virtually the same size. Guys that big need really stout chins because they are not that hard to find. No idea what Lebron's chin would be like but if it was a good one he'd be hard to beat if he developed some skill.Comment

Athleticism has everything to do with succeeding in boxing or any other sport. Every ATG fighter has physical attributes that allowed them to get there. Obviously you have to make the most of those physical attributes, but there's no great fighter who doesn't have terrific athletic skill. If they were meant to be fighters, they’d be fighters.

Wilder has basically gotten where he is now solely because of his physical attributes.Comment

Dude, Nene is the strongest guy in the league.Lebron is the strongest player in the league by far you need a whole team to guard him or he will run through you. No one flops anymore that was a thing in the NBA 4 years ago that Adam silver stopped with fines. Lebron takes the hardest fouls draymond and them had to poke his eye out and break his hand in the finals.
He'd kill LeBron
Dude's got a much better chin than people admit (look at Ortiz fight), plus dude has a desire to hurt people.Athleticism has everything to do with succeeding in boxing or any other sport.
