If GGG didn’t have a Mexican trainer, maybe Oscar would have a point. The Mexican fans love GGG and were chanting his name in a sold out StubHub Center against Rubio and at the Forum when he fought there twice.
Canelo Mexican fans booed him after the decision and the way he ran away. Canelo might be the only real Mexican in the ring, like he claims, but he sure didn’t fight like the Mexican fans want to see him fight. Canelo saying this time will be different and promising a KO, so he feels the pressure from the MX fans to actually fight more this time. I see many Mexican for Golovkin shirts at the GGG fights, i don’t remember that for Pacquiao plus Manny never had a Mexican trainer, so that’s not the same situation.
