This is a very dangerous fight for Wilder. Fury looking slim. The Champ Is Here! Lol. Suddenly Joshua’s BS trinkets look pale in comparison to Wilders WBC belt lmao.

His all action style with all the punishment he took in his career, combined with his ballooning weight and crash dieting meant he was a very old 32.
That’s my point though.
Hatton WASNT the same and struggled mentally after the Floyd fight. It wasn’t a chin thing vs Pac. Pac was a destroyer then.
When I mean he looked great I don’t mean he looked like a 25 year old Hatton, but I mean great for Hatton. Hatton never was an absolute terror. He was VERY good, very likeable, but he wasn’t ever going to beat Floyd or that Pac and the result would have been the same at any point in their career.
The comparison to Ricky is made because Hatton was a party guy. He’d gain weight between fights and do crazy s hit BUT that’s different when you’re still actively fighting. Hatton was a hard worker and never missed weight. The muscle doesnt really go away that quickly.
But after the retirement? He lost his edge. And in almost every sport, once that edge is gone it doesn’t come back. All the weight loss in the world doesnt bring you back to that point where you’ve been honing and grinding for over a decade.
Fury gave up. Physically AND mentally. At 27. Vast difference in a small man gaining weight and a big giant man.
Im rooting for him and I hope he’s one of the few exceptions....
