If you get right down to it, boxing is a violent sport. Wilder's "Wild" talk and actions seem to always centered around boxers or boxing. Say what you will but it is his killer instinct that makes him so dangerous.Comment

Here is a sample of a generic, unsigned fight contract which I got from the Association of Boxing Commissions and Combative Sports website.
"This contract shall be submitted to and approved by the Commission before weigh-ins.
No modification or ********* to this contract shall be binding upon the parties unless the same is in writing, signed by the respective parties hereto, and filed with and approved by the Commission.
PROMOTER (Signature) ________________________ Date_____________
BOXER (Signature) ________________________ Date_____________
MANAGER (Signature) ________________________ Date_____________
NET PAY = $_____________ DEDUCTIONS WERE: __________________
Boxer’s Signature ________________________ "
A contract would be signed by the boxer, his manager, and the promoter who is staging the fight and paying both fighter's wagers, which would be Eddie Hearn, in this case.Comment

Please don’t try and rationalise acting like he did. He is pathetic for bringing someone’s kids into an argument considering his daughter is in a wheelchair.Comment

Have you confirmed that this is indeed the case regarding the presumed power of attorney? I've heard multiple posters question why power of attorney was used or needed in this case.Comment

Exactly my thoughts. Dumbontay isn't exactly the most intelligent boxer in the world, but he must have signed enough fight contracts by now to know that a fighter signs his own contract, not his opponent's.
So this crap is clearly aimed at misleading the dumber end of the boxing fanbase - the kind of morons who lap up shite from DBN and associated YT channels.
And yes, it does make you wonder about how much faith anybody can place in other statements from Wilder and co.Comment
