under the circumstances them fights were okay. do i think spence HAS to move up to 154? no. what i do take issue with is the fact that him and crawford are happy to avoid each other and fight easy match ups in the meantime

Of course you can excuse Mikey. Who said you can't? Thing is excuse everyone and don't be a hypocrite like those Hunter is calling out.

        Here's the main difference:

Rigondeaux was a career 122lber. Welterweight will be Garcia's FIFTH weight class.

Lomachenko may have been two weight classes higher but he had not long moved up from 126lbs. Spence is a BIG welterweight who is really more of a natural 154lber, so Garcia will essentially be moving up THREE weight classes from 135lbs. And yes, he may have fought at 140lbs before but he is clearly a natural 135lber.

The equivalent scenario here would have been Rigondeaux moving from his third weight class (130lbs) up to his fifth (140lbs) to take on the biggest guy there who is also hungry, undefeated and most people's number one in the division. Think Crawford before he moved up.

Imagine Rigo vs. Crawford. THEN you would have seen the same concern for Rigondeaux.

To put it simply, the two situations are not the same.

GGG-Vanes had no reason to ever happen..all he had to do was fight his mando and he still would have his IBF title

Without Spence moving up who would you like to see him fight right now??

It is annoying. But it clear both guys and fans are confident in the other not losing till they fight, so both have bought into building it up. It clear it will be both buys biggest fight, probably in their whole career. That's how big of a win over the other is. Unless some undefeated monster appears at 154 who becomes a star or P4P fighter, and either guy moves up to fight that person.

Yeah right. Not a lot. I was here. And obviously the world didn’t agree because they couldn’t get anyone out to watch it.

lets not pretend rigo didn't decline an offer to fight loma at 126 demanding a cw and rehydratation clause to then, like an idiot, agree to fight him at 130. if he is an idiot that's not loma's fault.

I 100 percent agree...what time do you want to meet up and make Arum "an offer he cant refuse"?
