Kovalev may be the biggest piece of crap that ever entered a boxing ring, but if so, that is for people other than his former trainer to say. Anything else, just sounds like jealousy.

Yeah, as others have pointed out it’s right on the cusp of being racist, like it could be interpreted either way or unintentional. I can understand the confusion as that doesn’t accurately describe the comments or behaviour that have been attributed the Kovalev.
In this case it means that Jackson is trying to justify compromising his principles by working with someone who he thinks is an outright racist because it was making him a lot of money.
Inserting the word borderline maybe might help him sleep easier but you’d have to be borderline ******ed to believe he genuinely thinks Kovalev is a borderline racist.

Did anyone read the whole story of the interview, it’s a lot more than “only” racism... even if what he say is 50% false, it’s all we ever heard about Kovalev in those rumour that followed him for years! It cant be no coincidence and frankly it’s exactly what this guys transpired and what I was thinking about him. So lets not forget the scumbag this human being is just because his former coach is also a frustrated clown. I think both parties in this argument come off badly. Kovalev sounds like a really ****ty person and was quick to blame Jackson for his loss to ward.
Jackson comes off like money outweighs his principles by working for someone he believes is racist. If Kovalev would have beat Ward and they were cleaning up the division and winning fights together he’d be riding that gravy train with his mouth closed.
