Comments Thread For: Wilder Makes Controversial Comment About Breazeale's Son

Seems like folks are overly sensitive. From what I've read, Wilder's comment was directed toward Breazeale, not his son. I've seen much worse throughout the history of boxing (Duran,Tyson, Mayorga, Kov). Hell, members of this forum routinely say much worse about boxer's wives and children. Why the fake outrage?

You got to draw the line somewhere. Bringing kids into it, not cool unless you're a savage like Tyson. Wilder beat like 2 guys in 40 fights. Time to pipe the fùck down.
Just remember, he couldn't even stop Z-Money and Charlie is walking around fine.

Sonny Liston was always feared and intimidating,
and he never had to speak as disrespectfully as many
fighters do today. Liston was a classy guy compared
to guys like Wilder, Broner, and others today, and we
all know that Liston was more 'gangsta' than any of them.
Liston didn't have to act like a thug. People were scared shitless of him either way. That guy was a true badman. A lot of these modern day boxers seem to be trying a little hard to come across as scary.
Wilder strikes me as a nice guy a lot of the time. I don't think he realises that saying this kind of stuff (including the infamous "I want a body on my record") makes him come across as classless and unlikeable.
