He can turn down the 50 million dollars so long as he beats Povetkin the money will still be there. That's maybe the most interesting thing about Joshua vs Povetkin is the possibility that Joshua goes life and death with him.Comment

Sent a contract without date or venue, to fight in the opponent's country while he would make more fighting in his own and in a platform opposed to the one that built him. And Joshua hadn't even signed the contract by that time. Maybe he is meant to send a contract in good-faith?Comment

Former undisputed heavyweight world champion Lennox Lewis would like to see current unified king Anthony Joshua (21-0, 20 KOs) aggressively push to get unification deal done with WBC champion Deontay Wilder (40-0, 39 KOs). There were serious negotiations to make that fight for the fall, but the two sides were unable to reach an agreement.

When Finkel / Wilder did this after 30 fights were where you then Lennox ..
Shelly "which fighter is suing me for being ripped off today" Finkel ..
“Look, (Wilder) is a baby winning the title. It was his first title fight, they'll be a time for unification, they'll be a time for all those things, he could go and Povetkin (the No. 2 contender) in Russia and make $10 million,” Finkel said to the Tuscaloosa News. “It's not the right thing yet. Give him a couple of fights, maybe bring something back to Alabama. Let him develop just like any other athlete. They don't take someone who is a great college prospect and throw him right in. And this kid is a great prospect.”
Sign the contract Wilder April let's go ..
All Lewis is saying is [have your promoter make an offer that gets the fight made, not just one that's "good enough" to make your fans feel like you're not ducking]. He is saying that Hearn seems to be more focused on the money and not Joshua's stated desire to become undisputed champion.
Listen, arguing that the flat fee deal is "good enough" is getting old. Especially when every fan, even the Joshua fans, knows that a % split offer and a two-way rematch gets this fight done easily.Comment
