Broner was over-rated because he was heavily rated. As you said, he was hyped as a lesser Floyd. That doesn't take away from the fact that he is one hell of a boxer. Can he beat elite wws? No, no he can't.

Still, AB is one of only 17 fighters to be a 4-division champ. And every guy AB has ever lost to, would demolish everyone Crawford has ever fought.

AB and Lipinets is actually a good match-up. About the same skill level. I don't think anyone is going to say AB can beat DSG, Spence, Porter, Thurman or Crawford if AB gets past Lipinets. The only fighter AB has lost to that wasn't a welterweight is Mikey Garcia.

AB was grossly over-rated, but if anything now, he is under-rated. People act like he is a bum because he has heart and balls and fought Maidana, Porter, and Mikey. Guy is smaller and younger than Crawford, yet he has fought the much better competition. He's no world beater, but he is top 3 at 140.

I'm no fan of Broner but I think this is a very favorable matchup for AB. AB struggles with guys who push forward and physically maul him and and outwork him (Mikey just pure and simple outclassed him).

I've seen Lipinets in 3-4 fights and haven't been overly impressed. Sure he comes forward and it looks like he has some power but he's plodding, flat footed, doesn't seem to throw alot of volume. Plus he gets hit alot as well.

Both are 140lbers coming up. I think AB can hit him with enough clean shots to dissuade him and roll enough to mitigate Lipinets' power shots.

Ha Ha - exactly! Lipinets is the perfect opponent for AB to look good against. I’d like to see this.

Dam. Broner might even catch a win with this one.

I think because of their styles, this is one Broner can win.
