Errol Spence Jr has very few holes in his game; he's defensively aware, he can find going forward and backward, can lead/counter, can fight long/mid/inside, is good to the head and body, has heavy pop at the weight, and fights southpaw.

You add that Spence Jr has the frame to possibly go up as high as 160lbs before hitting his size ceiling, and this whole thing is a big ask.

Beyond all that, even if you wanted to give Mikey a chance, you'd have to point to some set of tools to make your case.

Mikey can just move on Spence and fight on the back foot, I don't think; Spence is every bit the athlete Mikey is, and he's been effective in cutting the ring down.

And he's not going to out punch Spence Jr either; his power is destructive at 135lbs when he lands clean, but it's clear that it doesn't hold too much at 140lbs, and will show even less at 147lbs against a guy heading to at least 154lbs soon.

Not me. I think Spence is a much better fighter and wins by one sided KO. Mikey weighed 149 on fight night for Easter while Spence weighed 156 on fight night for his last fight so the fight night weight difference between them is only 7 pounds and Mikey would probably be heavier than 149 fighting as a welterweight. It's not that Spence is so much bigger as it is that Spence is better. Spence is faster, takes a punch better and hits much harder. He also averages throwing and landing a lot more punches per round than Mikey.

mikeys a better fighter for sure but hes too small. spence is a big welterweight too and garcia looked small even against broner.
