Is anyone gradually starting to give Garcia a shot against Spence?

I'm not sure how or if Garcia can beat Spence. That said, Garcia seems like a smart dude so I'm sure he feels he can exploit something Spence does or doesn't do. I'll break bread for a PPV to reward fighters for taking these types of risks.Comment

Styles do make fights and Garcia likes guys that come straight at him, but there are limits. If he was facing Crawford I would give him no chance. Against Spence, maybe 20% based on the fact that he will be able to land at will.Comment

I don't think he shrunk since Maidana so the size comparison is real. But I guess you read something else into it other than size.Comment

I'm a big believer in Garcia but this is a bridge too far. Fans love to ignore size differences for some reason. Spence is a WW with the power and durability of a MW. He's technically sound too. This won't end well.Comment

I keep going back to if Garcia would have gone up after the Lipinets fight, what would the narrative have been? Lampley agreed saying he doesn't see this as a two weight class jump, just a one class jump.
However, as much as i like Garcia, he's not dynamic enough to win this fight. Usually the smaller guy coming up will have the speed and quickness advantage, but that is probably a push. If anything, Spence may be the better athlete and just as fast. But there are times Spence doesn't set his punches up and telegraphs some of his punches. Garcia is talented enough take advantage and hold his own for some rounds.
I see Spence landing a uppercut/hook combo and stopping Mikey in the 6th or 7th round. Spence is a skilled pressure fighter which makes the task even more daunting.
Folks like RJJ, Lampley and Naazim Richardson are giving Mikey a shot though.Comment
