Where's the contract? Send it to him so he can sign it. The fact is your guy never wanted this fight. He blocked every chance he got in order to fight Wilder. The more Deontay agreed to the terms the more greedy Gay J and Hearn got and ducked him.
What makes Wilder think he's worth more than $15 million?

The $50m had everything to do with the split. The 50m didn't exist without a 50/50 split on the condition that if the fight exceeds financial expectations then Wilder gets 50% too.
That means that AJ could have been stuck on $50m whilst Wilders purse goes up from $5m to $49m.
When it comes to business, and not silly YouTube videos, you don't expel yourself from that cut of the purse, even if it ends up being less than the 'guarantee' he asked for.
People want to talk about flat fees and percentages when it comes to Wilder, but when it comes to AJ he's supposed to just accept it?
If Wilder was serious about the fight and it taking place in the US he would have offered anywhere between 70/30 and 60/40 to AJ to try and buy home advantage instead of playing PR games and not sending a contract when it was actually asked for.
Even at 70/30, in Vegas, if Wilder was THAT confident in the finances he would have taken it. That way he would have got home advantage AND AT LEAST the $15m he's been offered to fight in the UK, right?
IF it's a $100m purse and it's 70/30 to AJ then Wilder still gets $30m.
But he, verbally at least, ACCEPTED a $15m flat fee for the UK. Why not go back with another counter offer for the US fight if he was serious about fighting him?
You can write paragraph after paragraph, it still doesn't change the fact that AJ named a price without even being urged to and then ducked it when they called his bluff.
I'm not even a Wilder fan, it's a fight i'd like to see as a neutral. Looking at it with no real biased opinion, it's very obvious that AJ and his team have ducked Wilder.Comment

The simple answer is that Wilder is worth around/at least 40% of the take on the fight, Eddie Hearn has already publicly said that the fight clears $45m in the UK, and Wilder's own camp has pegged the take at $70m-$100m in the US.
$15m, on a UK fight that clears $45m, puts Wilder's share at 33% (and that's assuming Hearn didn't lowball the number; a soldout Wembley, bigger interest for Box Office, Showtime/CBS backing the event in the US, sponsor interest for an undisputed heavyweight championship fight, etc).
40%, at Hearn's number, would put Wilder on an $18m purse. To keep Wilder's camp out of the books and for considerations of possible upside on the fight, a package to Wilder worth $20m should more than do it (value the pieces and put them together; US TV rights, rights to Canada/Mexico/Latin America [a matinee fight isn't going to be worth a whole lot or draw that kind of interest], and the live gate should draw more than enough to cover Wilder)Comment

If he is making $20/30m currently and Wilder is making $2/3m currently why the hell would Joshua accept a deal where there is a possibility that he gets $50m and Wilder gets $50m from a 50/50 split?
The better it sells the worse deal it becomes for him. It's not a risk worth taking when there is no evidence that Wilder is the one bringing the money to the table.
Wilder's the best B Side for Joshua, he's the one maximizing Joshua's earnings. Getting 70-30 vs. Wilder is better than getting 90-10 vs. anyone else.
My main issue with AJ's offer is that it's a flat fee. Nobody takes flat fees for PPV fights. Not sure how Wilder agreed to it previously. Every strong B side should have a say in their earnings potential. 70-30 or 65-35 gets it done in the UK and is fair to both.Comment

Where is it coming from?
He knew, everybody knew, the heavyweight division has lost popularity in America for the last decades.
The welterweight division is still the center of attraction,
yet even it's B-sides are not as greedy as Deontay.
That's why I can never be a fan of this guy.Comment

Oh please stop with this BS. You think Wilder was going to give $50m to Joshua and fight for free himself?!

My point is simply that it would be asinine to guarantee AJ 70 million when 50 million is what he asked for and there was no guarantee 70 million in profit could even be generated. There has to be some limit to the risk you take.Comment
