Because some times it takes a little while to sell out a venue that holds 90k. They will eventually sell out and people will watch on DAZN and on PPV. The Wilder fight won't even sell out an arena that holds 20k and if it's PPV, it will bomb

First you say Fury aint ready so this looks bad, then you say what if Fury wins?

Fury is the Lineal Champion. This is the best heavyweight fight to be made, second only to Joshua.

Then why did you say it'll sell out in an hour?

Fury would have to look ****ing sensational against Pianeta for this to be a legit top win for Wilder.

Bearing in Kevin ‘safetypin’ Johnson TKO’d him in 7rnds.

Obviously it’s going to get a lot of hype and Wilders fans will make it seem like Fury is prime, but you can’t ignore context here. Fury is prob 3 or more fights away from being truly sharp again.

Only good thing to come out of it is that this will likely make Joshua vs Wilder a legit super fight next year. And that is great for boxing

                1. they postpone or cancel the fight to next year because maybe fury doesn't look as great against pianeta. in this case, the wbc HAS to call the breazeale mandatory because they have said it will be called in december. if they don't then they will lose some credibility. if they do call it, wilder has to fight breazeale, and his team ends up looking like liars.

                2. they fight this year, and wilder beats fury. There's just no way they are making more than a joshua fight would make this year. if wilder beats fury, then him and his fanboys will forever have to defend why they fought a guy who had not fought competitively in 3 years, with sever mental health issues, who dropped 130 pounds in a year. it hurts his legacy and his pockets, in my opinion. breazeale is a better fight for him at this point.

                3. fury beats wilder whenever they fight. i shouldn't have to state how bad this would be for wilder.

in my opinion, this fight probably won't happen this year. frank warren and finkel will probably try to set it for around april next year to counter joshua's wembley move.
The bar is $45m, for a fight in the United States, that will be PPV in the US and UK, possibly hosted by MGM Resorts in Las Vegas.

$7m-$10m from the UK TV (still don't really understand the structure for PPV in the UK), a sizable site fee from MGM Resorts, the other revenues, and then you have the gamble that is PPV; @$65/$75, 1m homes gets you ~$35m, 500k homes gets you ~$17m, and 250k homes gets you ~$9m.

A ton will depend on how Fury looks against Pianeta (is his weight under 255/does he look fight fight, how's the movement in the ring, are his tactics sharp, is he punch clean, etc), but you're still counting pieces.

Vegas paid $15m to host Cotto-Alvarez.

I gotta feeling Fury pulls out. He could just wait for the Joshua lottery money and cash in. In Wilder he will be facing a faster and more dangerous opponent for less money.

That doesnt make sense at all .

Wilder losing to a fighter everyone knows is not 100% and will be maybe 80% if lucky puts a death blow on Wilders resume .

A win over Breazeale would prove he can handle power punchers , bigger than him . Just bc Joshua toyed with Breazeale doesnt mean Wilder can .

Wilder will not be a factor in ANY year if he loses to Fury in a Joshua fight . He will probably lose to Fury twice if a rematch claus is enforced , how is he not out of the equation without a win ? lol
