but, a breazeale/mandatory fight does more for wilder and his legacy right now than a fury fight, even though fury has more clout. even you should be able to see that.

this isn't about AJ, but about wilder. i am looking at it from his career perspective, not compared to AJ's career.

klitchko was out for two years, sure, but he didn't have anywhere near the issues fury had. stop equating the two if you are really trying to be objective. klitschko never stopped training. fury lost 130 lbs in a year. thats unhealthy in of itself, talkless of the mental and drug issues he had.
Actually a Breazeale win doesn't do much for Wilder's legacy at all. He is a mandatory everyone fully expects to dispatch, probably quicker than the 7 rounds it took Joshua. I find it hilarious the arc that Breazeale has gone thru on this forum. He is trash when Wilder is going to fight him instead of Dillian, who is also trash. But, he is a great win for AJ. Then he is trash again when Wilder may fight his mando instead of AJ. But now he is the best option for Wilder when a mega-fight with Fury seems to be a done deal.

I really wish some of you would make up your minds on Breazeale.

And no, Klitschko didn't have the issues Fury had...his situation was worse from a boxing standpoint.

It's one thing to deal with addiction and mental health, but those can be dealt with and overcome.

Quite another to be a fading fighter, a guy father time is catching up to. They call it washed up for a reason. Once you are done you are usually done in this sport and as good as Wlad looked vs AJ, that doesn't mean he was back...it could simply mean AJ was not skilled enough to expose that age. But Jennings was skilled enough in a loss and Fury was skilled enough in a win. Two years of bad showings and no tune-up yet we are supposed to believe AJ beat some great version of Klitschko?

I sure don't and no one who claims to be logical and objective should either.

Hell yes I compare the two, but no I do not equate them. I think Fury's situation may be better, not worse than Wlad's

It may turn out Wilder faces a better version of Fury than we think. And whoever wins the fight will deserve credit for beating a legit opponent.

Then Wilder really need this Fury fight to get made for the big payday

I love how you idiots are again talking about AJ and how this fight(farce) will be a bigger fight than the Povetkin fight. The Joshua/Povetkin fight will sell out Wembley Stadium within an hour while the Fury vs Wilder fight will not sell out an arena in Vegas at all hahaha. Fury is not ready and that's the reason Wilder is up for the fight and not taking 15 million to fight AJ for all the belts. If it were AJ fighting Fury next, then Wilder's fans would be all over him talking about how Fury hasn't fought in years, he's not ready and AJ is a bully for fighting him now. But since it's their guy Wilder, there's a parade for him hahahahah. You turds are worse than Canelo fans at this point. 40 fights and only one credible opponent on his record? And that one opponent almost KOed him? And you idiots treat him like a God???? Pathetic

Wilder is setting himself up fine in my opinion. KO Fury (which shouldn't be too difficult at this point) and he will have the right to demand more money vs Joshua where he didn't have as much leverage before.

You guys are all missing the point.

A wilder win over Fury makes him the A side vs AJ.

The tv viewerahip will dictate it.

Fury beats AJ in TV everytime.

No, Wilder won't be the A-side but he sure as hell will get a good split this time around.

I think Wilder losing to Fury is still better for his career than beating Breazeale lol

out the equation for the whole of 2019 how do you work that out?

Then why is it nowhere near sold out yet, despite being on sale for weeks?
