We need the HW guys to mix it up. The talent is in no way comparable (just had to say that first lol), but we could have fans generally aware of 5 or 6 HWs like the 70s (with another cast of solid names). When you add guys like Joyce and DuBois to the mix it's a real party at the top.
Eventually they all need to fight each. That would make this era pretty damn good.
Just look at this list:
Wilder (Ortiz)
Joshua (Whyte, Parker, Povetkin, Breaezeale)
Fury
Ortiz (Wilder, Jennings)
Povetkin (Joshua)
Whyte (AJ, Parker, Chisora)
Parker (AJ, Whyte)
Rising names:
Joyce
DuBois
Yoka
Usyk
Solid Bodies:
Jennings (Ortiz)
Breazeale (AJ)
Chisora (Whyte)
Not that bad if you ask me. (Again I'm not saying the skills are there. Just solid names.)
It would've made for a great 2018 if AJ-Wilder 2 fight deal was done and meanwhile Miller-Pulev, Whyte-Ortiz, Breazeale-Jennings, Parker-Povetkin, Chisora-Igu, then the winners facing off while the losers face the rising names you mentioned. I know it's unrealistic but having a HW WBSS without the top 3 guys would interest me. Let AJ/Wilder/Fury face each other and establish a top dog and become the biggest name in the sport, and let the WBSS establish a challenger who is ready, willing and on an impressive winning streak.
Also, aside from the top 3, Ortiz looks a level above the rest. But he just got knocked out by Wilder so I'd like to see him prove he's as good as he looks/wasn't damaged by the KO before his next title shot. WBC could order Ortiz-DB if Wilder is busy, that'd be a good fight.

But yes, a HW WBSS without the top 3 would be amazing

Yes, they can be annoying, and I've wasted hours of my life trying to explain to them that yes, AJ is a very good fighter, but no, he definitely could not KO Tyson and Hughie Fury, Dillian Whyte, and Wilder one after the other on the same night, and could easily lose to any one of them, especially Big T.
But they are nowhere near as bad as the Wilder fanboys, who seem to be a combination of the racially biased LDBC ... and about a million dumb yanks who suddenly appeared out of nowhere and jumped on Deontay's **** after this whole US vs UK fan war bull**** kicked off.
I still like Wilder though hahha

Wilder will lose every round until he windmills and then he either catches Fury or he doesn't.
Wilder loses the early rounds to boxers with a 10th of Furys ability but Fury may gas, his reflexes may be just off or he starts clowning and then he could just get knocked out.
I think Fury needed at least one proper fight to win this, no idea why he would take it better fight fr Wilder than fury now but Wilder is so risk adverse its crazy.

Here's a video of one of Tyson Fury's recent sparring partners, Walt Harris. He has also sparred with Deontay Wilder. Harris said, "Out of about 35 rounds of sparring, I only hit Fury in the face like 7 times." He said that he is very slick, moves very well, and is very hard to hit. I'm a Wilder fan, and I think he will have problems with Fury. It will be a very interesting fight.
