You are totally full of it on the Ward-GGG situation as are most GGG haters. Ward never made GGG a written offer to fight. He just made a publicity media challenge at a time when GGG was in training for a contracted fight with Lemieux and could not legally fight Ward. When GGG was through with Lemieux and free to fight Ward, Ward had fought at 172 pounds and said he could no longer fight at 168 pounds. Check the record dummy. If you like the UFC so much better than boxing why don't you go to their boards and stay off of this one. You statement that we will have weight classes every 2 pounds from middleweight to light heavyweight is a typical ****** statement from you because you are a ****** jackass and that is the only way you know how to be.
    1) You don't have to agreee with me. Agree with logic instead. When I make sense, agree with me, and when I don't make sense, then don't agree with me. What you really should be asking yourself is not "who said this?", but "does it make sense?".

    2) The weight classes are also extremely close in the bigger divisions and they don't even make sense. You go from 160 to 168 (8 pounds), from 168 to 175 (7 pounds, less than before?)... A weight division separated by less than 10 pounds is just bad for the sport.

    3) Lomachenko is one of the two best fighters in the world right now, along with Crawford. I got nothing but respect for Lomachenko.

    4) Ward was the one who showed interest in the fight, Golovkin was the one who avoided the fight. Why didn't Golovkin show the same eagerness to fight Ward as he did to fight Froch? Come on, bro, I like Golovkin too, but the guy knew too damn well that Ward would make him look like a fool in the ring. Fokk, even Canelo looked damned slick against Golovkin.

    5) I'm just saying that in UFC, they are actually warriors. If they wanna fight bigger guys, then they go and fight bigger guys, 10 pounds heavier. They don't move up 3-8 silly pounds to "feel out" if they're moving in the "right direction", like a kid feeling the cold pool out before he dares to jump on. The UFC fighters just headdives straight in.

Id love for them to cut the divisions in half...but...

Look at the Rigo fight? What was the big deal with Rigo moving 9lb or whatever if he's so good? To use your argument...

But Rigo fight is the perfect example of "size matters" even if its 9lb or less...

He moved from featherweight to super featherweight to lightweight. Meaning, he gradually moved from 126 pounds to 135 pounds. In other words, he now fights at 9 pounds heavier than he did at the start of his career... Is it really that big of a deal?

In UFC, you move up in weight for real. If you go up one division, you move up by 10 pounds. McGregor has moved up two divisions, 20 pounds, before...

This all makes boxers seem like divas or something. It shouldn't be that damn scary to put on a little weight. But it really isn't the boxers' fault. Yeah, I do get annoyed when I see a guy like Golovkin making 8 pounds sound like the equilavent of giving Ward the win. And yeah, I did get annoyed at Canelo for ducking Golovkin for so long (though Canelo at least manned up and did it as time passed). But again, not the boxer's fault. They have been pampered with all of these available belts and all of these weight divisions... In the future, there will probably be as many divisions as 160 lbs/162/164/166/168/170/172, etc., until boxers basically can move up and down as precisely as they want...
As soon as I saw that you have nothing but red K I thought this would be a troll thread and lookie here.........it is lol

Jumping up 9 lbs in lower weight classes is HUGE!

              These are really small men.

              Are you new to boxing?

If Rigo was a significantly better boxer than Lomachenko, then he should have been able to make up for the size difference.

what about fighters that turn pro and move down in weight? if they win a title, it should count as -1 division...they gotta move up just to break even. for real...the jr divisions should be abolished.
