Why does people act like it's a bad thing to lose to Salido?

Orlando Salido is a ****ing gangster. A 2 time, 2 division world champion. Been in fight of the year contenders against Roman, Vargas, Martinez, Kokietgym. Fought damn near everybody - the aforementioned four, Mikey, Lomachenko, Marquez, Guerrero, Gamboa, Mtagwa, Juan Lopez twice in his back garden

And speaking of which, his biggest win is absolutely pissing off Rob Arum. He was used as fresh meat and fed against Gamboa by Top Rank and unfortunately, it paid off. Arum then tried the same trick again by throwing him at a prime, undefeated Juan Manuel Lopez in his back garden of Puerto Rico no less, and not once but twice he stopped him in Fight of the Year contenders. Then Arum tried AGAIN to make a star at his expense, this time against the ****sexual dude in Orlando Cruz and that backfired. Then Arum tried AGAIN to make a star at his expense by cherry picking him to defend his title against Lomachenko with the notion Salido is the weakest champion in the division. And it backfired with Salido picking up his best career win.

Why do people hate the man and dismiss him as a bum? He's a ****ing warrior, fought everyone and has wins over prime Lomachenko and Lopez and should have got the win against Martinez and Vargas.

That is a good point. I always hear how amateurs don't mean nothing.

Pro experience is very, very important though. It's a different game and Lomachenko has done extremely well in both.

I think he was very lucky to get the win over Loma in his 2nd fight. The weigh-in, the low blows etc; not to mention he probably lost 6 or 7 rounds anyway. If that's a legit win then the 3 fights he failed to win vs. Martinez and Vargas are even more legit since they were just as close and no other funny business (beyond Vargas failed test weeks prior).

You've got to respect Salido as a warrior and one who got the most out of his skill set. He had a bad start to his career but had a good career. I think he deserves some hate though because of how he handled the Loma fight not to mention the reason he has a NC vs. Guerrero is because he got caught cheating and used PEDs. He's suspect as hell since then given some of his performances later on like the JuanMa fights.
