i think manny just hangs out for the talent then jumps in and tries to cash in on the marquee fights.....lately that is.....

and i think mcgirt is spread too thin. he has too many fighters to give any real quality time too.

both are good but i honestly think that they're more money hungry then they are focused on actually training a contender or a champ.........

i honestly think that ****m Richardson is going to be the next great trainer and that he is going to be a hall of fame trainer when it's all said and done.....

I would choose Steward aswell. The guy straight out knows the game.

He does jump from fighter to fighter and is making a great living doing it. Why shouldnt he cash in on his knowledge? Hes spent most of his life with in the game and has produced one of the best gyms on the planet. You think that Emannuel is just looking for the dollar but he is looking to the future. You havent been to Kronk lately, for it is alive!

true true, and i've met manny and he's a great guy, but i think he's a big bandwagon guy. not taking away from his resume and all he's done. but lately he's all about the big star, guys that are already on the cusp.

he hasn't dealt with a young up and comer in a grip(in the public eye). i know he has a few at the gym, but now he is all about the star, and i have no problem with him going out and going for the money, but damn he's kind of like a gold diggin ho at this point.

which he deserves every penny he's ever earned but i gotta call a spade a spade when i see. manny is all about cashing in at this point.

i might to totally off here but like i said, i'm calling it how i see it as a boxing enthusiast......nothing against manny but it's obvious what he's doing......peace

To me, every guy he puts his hands on underachieves. Taylor really looked no different against Winky then he has in any other fight.

Then you have McGirt who is also highly overrated. What has he done thats so great? He's another guy who gets fighters when there already good and I dont see him making them better. Sure, he turned Gatti into a boxer but its not like Gatti has been great at it. He still looks ****ty most of the times but he gets the win because he's better or has the big punch. McGirt's game plan against Floyd having Gatti trying to outbox him was still the dumbest thing I have ever seen in history. Tarver is good one fight and looks like **** the next and Buddy recently had somone else who I cant think of but he looked like **** also. Now he takes a hot prospect like Julio and gets nearly shoutout. Its like he never has a plan B and his fighters look lost when plan A doesnt work. What he tells them in the corners is dumb.

There are more and more figthers and managers trying to get these guys to train them but I wouldnt go anywhere near them. I still like Goosen better then McGirt. I remember Goosen training Casamayor against Chico and Joel was so aggressive and did anything he wanted to Chico in the 1st fight. Then the next fight McGirt trains him and Casamayor ends up boxing way too much in a passive manor, is not aggressive until the end and when he does get aggressive then he looks good. McGirt lost that fight more then Casamayor.
I think your wrong about manny steward dude. i mean look at what he did to taylor. he was such a open fighter and easy to hit hopkins barely touched him in that first fight till the end and still almost KOed him. steward made him to a leaner more physical fighter. look at what he has done with wlad ok he was knocked down like what 8 times in that one fight and he only beat chris byrd. but his defence is better or he would have been dropped in prolly both those fights. you cant say manny steward is bad. mcgirt was a master mind after tarver jones 1 and 2. tarver did not do anything he asked him to do in the hops fight and gatti was outclassed by PBF. i dont think these guys are overrated. look at all the fighters steward has though mostly if not all have or had a major title.

If I was a pro, I'd choose McGirt over Steward! Do I think Steward is better than McGirt? Overall Manny " Velcro Brows" Steward has accomplished more, but Manny has years ahead of McGirt coaching wise.

The reason I choose McGirt, is because I think personality wise, I think I would click w/ him. I like how Buddy works his corner, I understand his "language".

I think Stewards biggest problem is he keeps looking for the next Tommy Hearns. Every fighter he trains he says "this guy is the next Tommy Hearns". Once he learns that there is no other Tommy Hearns I think he will live a little better.

I think to the public these guys are over-rated, but the fighters know exactly what they need AND what they are getting from these trainers.
