You guys are missing the main point. Quintana was a very good slick southpaw. If you had never watched Hatton before the Callazo fight then you would say that he's not that good either. Julio is 21 and Quintana was a 29 year old slick southpaw with power and experience.
Near the end of the fight they were talking about how Julio wanted to fight Hatton and the commontater says that "he's not going to be calling for Hatton now", and then Max says "or maybe he will be calling for Hatton and saying get Quintana out of here".
It was a joke but I agree with it. I actually think that Julio wouldve looked better against Hatton. It was just a totally bad matchup for him at this point in his career and I was saying that his managment is dumb for letting it happend but after the fight Max said that his team didnt want to fight Quintana but had to so they could be the #1 contender.
I think alot of you just havent learned how hard it is for most guys to fight a good southpaw, let alone a highly skilled one like Quintana. Hatton just looked like **** against one and Margarito didnt look great against Santos. Even Floyd had problems with Zab early and all these guys are seasoned vets. Julio is just 21. He wouldve looked much different tonight against a righty. He just could never figure out the Southpaw look and its even harder to do against a guy like Quintana who can changeup so well.
When Floyd fought Zab, it was in the 4th round and they were talking about the trouble Floyd was having landing and Larry said that its because "Zabs soutpaw style is giving Floyd a look that I dont think he's figured out yet". Ofcourse he did in the next round but at 21 he may have had alot of problems ever figuring it outLast edited by DLT; 06-25-2006, 01:10 AM.Comment

He might very well steam roll Quintana as he still hasnt fought a major guy yet and we still dont know how good he really is but my point was about Julio. Its no disrespect to Hatton but Julio would not have had to worry about alot of things against Hatton like he did tonight. Quintana also had a monster chin which I havent fully seen from Hatton yet. He's been shookup a couple of timesOriginally posted by Smokin'Man, DLT, you just don't understand how good Hatton is. I'm not gonna bother explaining it to you. He would steamroll Quintana.Comment
