Why was Wilder expected to sign for a fight 1 year away with a flat fee??

It wasn't until the last minute that Eddie ***** revealed he had no intentions of making the fight NEXT. he wanted it for April all along. if this was revealed from day one there would be no back n forth negotiations. they both could've just moved on and started talks next year. but Wilder's camp and all fans were under the impression they were gonna clash this year. but the slick Eddie ***** had April 2019 in his mind all along. wasting everybody's time.

Parker gets a percentage but not Wilder... that's all I need to know to see the fear in AJ. get that body bag ready..

Wilder is coming across as a crybaby ***** in this situation now.
Very few people see Wilder as being at fault here, even pros in England have blamed AJ.

I understand Wilder could take a crap deal but he decided not to, which I also understand.

and yes Wilder accepted it BUT Eddie ***** threw a wrinkle at the last minute when he showed all along the contract was for APRIL. that is not what was offered originally because if it was there would be no back and forth negotiations.
Yeah ok mate I get where you're coming from but have no wish to join you down there. So anytime you want to drop the 'Eddie *****' and other juvenile aspects and discuss it like an adult I'd be happy to oblige.

Wilder and his team ACCEPTED the terms man. stop with this split nonsense.
you guys keep saying hearn "never wanted the fight next", yet, all wilder and finkel had to do to 100% hold hearn accoountableto the fight being next in oct/nov was to simply sign the contract which was sent to him, with terms both sides agreed to, instead of posturing on TV and social media. we've been over this. stop bringing up moot points.

if they really had issues with the date not being in, they could have filled in a date in the period that eddie confirmed for them, or put in clauses and sent it back with a signature. it's not difficult man. they didn't really want to sign. they just wanted to delay the process till the WBA would get frustrated and strip joshua of the belt.

wilder and his team now have had 2 confirmed contracts they could have signed. no response, no timely comments back, no signature.

he agreed if it was next not next year. once he saw it was for next year he turned it down. the same can be said about asking for 50 mil and then turning it down. they need to renegotiate and wilder should get 35-40% that's about it. flat fees for this fight shouldn't even be mentioned.

because hes the B side. you either accept the terms or u dont get the fight. i dont see where wilders next payday is coming from. when hes making 1 mill from fighting breazele maybe reality is going to hit him that 15 million is more than generous. its his own fault that hes not a star, noone else to blame but himself.

Nope. again, why should he get 35-40%? based on what?
wilder has one belt, AJ has 3, (4 really, but i'll throw you a bone).
wilder has nowhere near the draw or the money making ability that joshua does worldwide.
wilder can only bring 15k to an arena, joshua can do 90k.
wilder's highest payday is under 3mill. joshua's is around 30mill (also just signed a 100m contract).
so why exactly does he deserve a split? and why is that somehow better than a flat fee?

this situation is different from the 50mil situation because wilder NEVER sent a contract, and they never wanted to meet face to face. in addition, joshua never agreed to the terms of the deal, just the amount. try harder.

i think its rich that you say he "turned it down", yet joshua is supposedly the one who doesn't want the fight. again, why are the agreed terms good for this year, but somehow not okay at all for april next year? what exactly is going to happen in between that somehow make wilder more valuable? how is a flat fee okay for this year, but in 5 months time, it has to be 50-50, according to wilder?

you guys are too emotionally attached to this, if parker was worth a percentage wilder should get one. no fight of this magnitude should speak of a flat rate. 35% is more than fair. are you a boxing fan or a financial advisor? most good uk fighters sell big in arenas... that's nothing new, what if aj loses to pedvtkin? it makes no sense to sign a contract for next year when both fighters have fights lined up. as concerning the 50mil was it not hearn who said it was legit but they would rather fight at home for less money? don't make me post the article with hearns exact words. There was no contract because hearn n aj never agreed to the money. you don't get a contract unless you agree to the money, just like wilder agreed to the money and got a contract with no date. I just want to see the fight and I understand that a decent percentage is the only way it will happen. yes aj has all of furys belts great for him

nah man... nothing emotional about any of that. only logic and facts. that's why i keep asking for the factual, logical bases for your pro-wilder arguments. parker got a percentage, but ended up being less than the flat fee amount wilder has been offered, so that's moot. again i ask, why is a flat offer that much worse than a split?

you say i'm being emotional, but can't give a reason why a flat fee is so bad or that much worse than a percentage, ESPECIALLY AFTER wilder accepted a flat fee.

what's worse, you can't, or won't even provide a logical reasoning or answer as to what percentage would be appropriate for wilder, other than, "he's deontay wilder!!"

eddie himself said if aj loses, then the contract is void. that much should be obvious because the wilder fight is supposed to be a unification fight. IN ANY CASE, if joshua loses, then wilder will be getting more than his worth in a non-unification fight, since joshua and the fight will suddenly be worth less if he loses to povetkin.

the 50m talk was regarding a CONTRACT, not whether the 50m was real. i'm not debating authenticity. you saying they never agreed the 50m is proving my point that that situation is nowhere near close to this 15m situation. wilder agreed terms for the 15m contract, joshua never did for the 50m deal.

in the end, you may be right (you probably are) that a percentage is the way the fight will happen, but lets not pretend like a percentage split for wilder is somehow the most deserving way to do the fight for wilder.

I think a percentage is the most logical thing, wilder is a biger name than parker and brings aj more money. hopefully the fight is made. peace
