Yet he's out of his "prime".
    1) He defeated a guy from two weight divisions down. Why do you mention that as some great feat? Brook managed to give him some massive punishment before the referee stopped it.

    2) He barely got the win against Daniel Jacobs. I thought Jacobs won that fight, fair if you think otherwise. At least Golovkin proved in this fight, for the first time, that was able to hang with a good fighter.

    3) He didn't dominate Canelo, lol. It was a draw and a bad draw at that, I had Canelo clearly winning. Golovkin was sleepwalking into power punches all night. But Canelo won't leave it up to the judges this time. I'm not a fanboy, that ginger ducked Golovkin for a long time, but after seeing their first fight, I have no doubt that Canelo either knocks Golovkin out next time or beats him so badly that even the Golovkin fanboys will have to agree with the decision.

    4) Knocking out a journeyman is no big deal, Golovkin and Wilder have both been doing it through their entire career.

If you can't see it going downhill for Golovkin since the Brook fight, then you're not a boxing fan, you're just a naive Golovkin fan.

Very true. I look out for these "fans" who use nicknames that theyve heard used before. Purest sign of ****** on here imo

How was GGG exposed in this fight? he just went through the punches and destroyed him.

The judges score cards in the Golovkin Brooke fight was a complete joke. Golovkin outlanded him in every round and he was down in the score cards. It was a farce. No wonder fighters don't want to fight in the UK.

Brook probably hurt Golovkin worse than any opponent had ever done. I seriously worried about Golovkin's health in this fight. He beat Brook, as he was supposed to do, but it obviously came with a price.

Golovkin went on to get a controversial win against Daniel Jacobs and then get a draw against Canelo despite walking into headshots all night. He then beat some journeyman I don't remember and he will now get knocked out in the Canelo rematch...

Did Brook take Golovkin's prime with the brutal punishment he inflicted? That's the only place where I can see it went wrong. I still get the chills when I see that brutal uppercut, Golovkin is a true warrior for still standing after that.

(EDIT: The less intelligent members of this forum seems to point out "Golovkin destroyed Brook's prime!". Well, yeah, it would be kind of embarassing if he did not do it, he is supposed to be some power puncher and Brook is from a smaller division. The truth is, they destroyed each other's prime).
No, it wasn’t Brook, it is Father Time!

Go on down to the gym and watch him train and tell him he's going downhill.

Hell of an uppercut that’s for sure but to say he derailed him
                  Not buying into that
Just think it was the first time fans saw him hurt and actually get nailed
                  What a lasting impression lol

Yeah Golovkin can't win on this forum. There are some that cry that oh poor Brook is too small. Then there are some and a couple in the first group that say Brooke hit him harder than he's ever been hit before. The official judges score cards we're a comete joke. Golovkin outlanded Brooke in every round and was losing the fight????? Ridiculous.

First off, GGG was a pro, when Pavlik and Taylor were in their primes. The thing is, they probably didn't even know who GGG was. Taylor retired shortly after beating Soliman, so GGG didn't even get a chance to fight him on his comeback. You really think they were gonna take a high risk/low reward opponent like GGG in their primes?

By the time GGG first fought in the states, Martinez and Williams were crippled. GGG spent his prime trying, and failing, to get an actual world title, picking up the WBA regular title in the process. Love how you conveniently forgot when GGG had to grind for years, for a shot at one, just for Geale to duck him and fight Mundine.

                      Also, who's Serygey Duzknuz?

Curtis Stevens fought at 160, 168 and 175, and was a top 10 mw.

GGG fought Rosado in 2012, when he was trying to make a name for himself. This was at a time when nobody was trying to fight GGG, he was a nobody, and Rosado was a top 10 jmw, who was willing to fight anybody. This fight made sense, in terms of name-building.

The Brook fight happened, because Euwank Jr wouldn't sign the contract to fight GGG, and moved up to 168. Every other top big mw either already had a fight lined up, or didn't want the smoke. Plus, Brook was an undefeated top 3 ww at the time, and a draw in the UK. I would've preferred Brook vs Khan and Canelo vs GGG then, but you already what Canelo did. Nevertheless, the fight made sense, from GGG's perspective. He made the best of a bad situation.

Please, don't use Canelo for this argument. Dude invented his own weight division, just to duck GGG. GGG was his mandatory challenger under the WBC, and Canelo vacated that title and started beefing with the WBC for trying to do their job. Also, let's not act like Canelo didn't spend most of his career fighting undersized opponents. This has been covered a million times.

Well, maybe if champions at that division didn't duck GGG, he'd have a better resume.
