If you really believe that Whyte is a contender it's not that bad a card.

    Whyte's a legit contender, no?

I was thinking the same, maybe shooting themselves in the foot considering it's 2 guys that already lost in bids to be champions. Who's gonna payperview for fighters that have come up short in the past.

.... and if Takam looks like garbage against a perennial punching bag like Chisora .......

That's what I'm thinking. I'm really looking forward to the fight.

I'll be buying it, I support boxing.

It's still a better card than anything Frank Warren puts up. Miller will be in comms too so it might kick off with him and Whyte.

Buatsi had his opponent pull out. Joyce and Eubank were set to appear on the card but pulled out, Brook pulled out, Eggington pulled out.

It's been a bit of an unlucky card tbf to Hearn.

Yikes. This is when using an illegal stream would be totally justified. I think if this went to court the judge would go

"They're trying to make you pay for this ****show? Get outta here. CASE DISMISSED"

@ the Brits who are complaining about spending 20 pounds for a fight card PPV. You guys should have been here to pay $100 for the Mayweather vs Pacquiao dance off.

Like every PPV you can only judge after it's over. If Chisoar and Takam go to war and then Whyte/Parker turns out to be a FOTY then no one will be complaining.

I think Hearn is setting up Whyte to be a PPV fighter. If he beats Parker by KO expect all his future fights to be PPV.
Back to our argument from last week and this is the problem with Hearn and his supporters. No offense here btw, but this is what I pointed to you last time out. Putting household names doesn't make something PPV worthy. You said if Brook was on the bill it would be worth it? Dude, he's not fighting Errol Spence or Shawn Porter or Amir Khan or Keith Thurman, he would have been fighting Brandon Cook. That would have been a major mismatch.

Whyte is FAR from a PPV fighter and he's quite frankly not good enough. Why the hell does he deserve to be on PPV? Stop defending this type of BS, and call Hearn out on his dumb ***** that he tries to pull off. I hope Hearn wasn't talking about these types of cards when he said he plans to put on four PPV worthy cards on DAZN.

Chisora/Takam is a okay match up that's it.

Whyte/Parker is a good fairly matched up fight. No complaints.

Then lets say Brook vs Cook was still on, it is nothing but a huge mismatch.

In what world does that scream PPV?

If that is PPV, what would Hearn think of LSC vs Mares with Charlo vs Trout? Would he have tried to put that on PPV if they were residing in the UK? How about Wilder vs Ortiz with Uzcategui vs Dirrell on the UC? Is that also a PPV card? Or how about Broner vs Vargas, Tank vs Cuellar and Charlo vs Centeno? That would DEFINITELY be a PPV card for Hearn huh?

And that is the big difference between the UK and us in the states. You could say Yanks aren't as supportive as they should be, and you would be correct with that statement. However, you can't just pull this type of crap on us and expect to get away with it with some sweet talk. This is a terrible PPV card period.

That really isn’t that bad a card. It has had drop outs too so considering that it could have been far worse.

Compare it to an American ppv for instance which usually has two fights worth watching absolute max; at least matchroom put on a decent list of fights. Never in any matchcard will all fights come off as brilliant but they give themselves a chance with so many decent matchups!

Obviously I would prefer it to be normal sky sports but I can understand why it’s ppv

If a main event is not PPV worthy then you have to stack the card with names, that doesn't mean every fight on the undercard has to be PPV as well. I said if Brook was on it would PROBABLY be worth it (not to me personally but I could see the argument). There is also Takam and Chisora... and Whyte is a big name here and fighting Parker is a good fight.

The difference is Whyte and Parker have been involved in big PPV events, and so are well known, those comparisons to other US fighters are pointless as they have not been on any PPV fights at all....

What if the PPV price was $25? would you be more forgiving? More PPV events but at a much lower price than US PPV. We have only 3 PPV events in the UK this year..... £60 for 3 fights.

Any way, I'm not buying it personally, I'll nip round the bar for Whyte/Parker or stream it.... I'm certainly not going to get annoyed over £20 lol
