I never understood why people are so "high" on Fury. Im sure his skin complexion has a lot to do with it. The same thing with Usyk. Now people are saying that Usyk would "play" with Wilder & Joshua who are HEAVYWEIGHTS because he outworked an untested Gassiev who himself did not have any significant wins but USYK will go up TWO weight classes to "play" with and beat Giants? Delusion runs rampant on this website smh

Because it will be for a career high payday of $15m. Pretty simple, man.

A-side/B-side nonsense don't matter. A championship fight that is gonna draw world attention should be fair and equitable to both fighters - period. The AJ/Hearn nonsense was none of that ... it really is mindless for anyone to insist that a champion fighter should accept any old contract with any kind of blatant unfair and demeaning conditions in it. If a fighter CHOOSES to sign it (for their own reasons) okay, fine ... he signed a bad deal (knowingly by choice). But, if they choose to pass honestly we should all applaud. As fans we should want championship fights to be good deals for the fighters. No fan should be mouthing about a fighters skill, heart, or desire based on said fighter not signing a bullsheet contract. That would be a fan-girl talking. Not a fan, nor an educated adult.

As educated adults, and fight fans, we should want every fighter to get a fair contract, based on the risks and inevitable damage fighters suffer doing their craft.

I'm not anti-AJ or anyone else. But BS is BS. I never remember an opponent of Ali bringing a stinking contract to the public's attention as a complaint. They must have gotten a "reasonable" and decent contract for the time. That's called respecting your opponent, your trade, and ultimately yourself. Particularly in highly anticipated world event types of fights.

BS is BS ... all fans should call it like it is, no matter who you like. Only kids and ignorant people wear blinders when it comes to business (and "root" for their favs regardless) Fight fans want everyone to win and be well in the BUSINESS of the fight.”
Exactly!!! I couldn't have said it better myself!

It's not uncommon to sign a fight before the fight you currently have scheduled. You sign the fight on the understanding if you win then you got straight into the signed fight.... It's not difficult to grasp.

Obviously if you lose then that contract becomes void.
You are obviously what the comment directly points out...not a fan but a fan girl, not adult-like or grown up. It’s about unfair $$ for a champion (both are) and it should be equitable and until people get that through their thick skulls I’ll go about posting this until it sinks in. Have a nice day

It already looks like the Joshua/Hearn team are setting up their next excuse to avoid Wilder.

A legitimate and fair contract will never be offered to Wilder by the Joshua/Hearn team. They are avoiding Wilder at the expense of Joshua's reputation. I know that Joshua is the UK's golden boy but he ain't the rest of the world's little darling.

Joshua's gonna slip up and lose and then Wilder will step in and KO the new man who has the belts.

And now you all should understand the real plan for the path of least resistance. Joshua don't want Wilder and their camp conned his fans.

No it’s not and not even close. No one in their right mind no matter how much more a payday is would sign such a one sided contract as a champion given the fact the fight would generate in excess of 100 million. So please save us the simple math garbage. Adults come to the table between two champions and render contracts under equitable terms
