Nothing Sanchez could have said to prevent a complete washing of Gassiev. He did tell him to go for the KO in the last 3 rounds or so, but Gassiev wasn't even close to accomplishing that.

For me it’s not a one size shoe fits all type of argument.

You can see how Virgil with ward was a fabulous duo. But if you see the rest of the stable, the fighters regressed if anything.

Abel teaches you how to punch. That’s a mighty good trainer since a lot of boxers don’t really punch that well to begin with. So with GGG he was actually coaching him well in the corner vs Canelo. Told him to move to the right a bit and he had more success connecting the right hand later through the fight.

A coach won’t win a fight for you. Coaches can only tell you to move left or right from the corner and the rest is in your experience, IQ and identity as a fighter.

          He sucks.
Another hack that's never boxed and offers zero tactical information its just ******ly vague **** like ''apply more pressure'', ''go for the knockout''. Never does he explain how. What they need to adjust, set up, an opponents tendencies, what to look out for.

He's just living through GGG and any half decent trainer would of got just as much out of GGG with the pedigree, ability and commitment he has. He'd be twice the beast he is under a Robert Garcia for example. He'd actually be the fighter his fans had hoped he was.

He ruined Terry Norris, GGGs limitations have been shown time and time again. Ponamarev was once promising, Gassiev just looked as limited of a fighter as you'll ever see.

He just has an eye for good talent and has been very fortunate.
A conditioning coach, an egomaniac whose been fortunate enough to have talent come his way. A glorified Frankenstein who makes fighters do silly neck and jaw exercises rather than honing their skills.
All he does tries to create zombies. He's a sadistic that spent his former life getting pitbulls to fight and kill each other.

He's like a typical sadistic poster on here. Sat in the corner ******* off, eyes glazed, lights on and nobodies at home murmuring ''kill him, kill him, kill him!"

I mean, he’s obviously doing something right but people have to keep in mind a trainer is just that. Theyre not miracle workers.

Sometimes making a guy be the best version of himself is all they can do. Not everyone is suited to learning new things and becoming the next Floyd (for example). With some guys, that’s about as good as they’ll ever be and that’s just the reality of it.

Sometimes all you can do is keep morale up if your fighter has nothing for the other guy.

I remember Roach in the Chavez Jr and Martinez fight literally saying (mid fight) “he’s just too fast.”

When your guy can’t pull counter like Floyd...you dont ask him to pull counter like Floyd

His philosophy. Is my fighters make the other fighter adjust to them We don't adjust. Is it just me or does anyone else find that somewhat short sighted. I'm also tired of seeing almost all of the clips coming out of his gym of Golovkin hitting the pads. Does he teach anying other than punching?? Sanchez has a system but if the system doesn't work on a particular fughter then what? I'm not a fan of Sanchez.

tbh every time i listen to his corner advice during a fight where his fighter is not doing well, he says the opposite of what is needed... but then again the sucess he's had with his fighters shows he must be doing something right?
