HW boxing will always generate here if a fight worth noting takes place with ACTUAL promotion .

Two undefeated HW's who knocked out almost everyone they faced would guarantee to create a buzz here in 2019 even if its just one fight bc the division is not carried by the U.S at this time but certainly it would be a huge event .

Wilder may be the weak link here and himself hurting the fight by dragging it out bc the sooner he signs the more promotion time it gets and he seems more content riding Joshua name but Wilder himself without naming Joshua doesn't know how to promote himself and apparently neither does his team . lol

Wilder NEEDS to stop the 50% b.s like last time , Hearn will just freeze him out and fight someone else like he did when he took the Parker fight .

I believe Joshua will generate a revival of a HW U.S market anyway and create interest sooner then later as boxing extends far beyond a forum of a group of dopes bc the reality is Joshua is getting noticed globally which many Wilder fans fail to realise that includes the U.S ! lol

Once Joshua fights in the U.S its game over for the fan girls / detractors / and all agenda based media channels !

"but Wilder vs. Ortiz itself produced one of the network’s best ratings in a long time. Evidently there wasn’t much interest in Jose Uzcategui vs. Andre Dirrell, but the main event averaged 1,055,000 viewers and peaked at roughly 1.2 million. It is the first time that any Showtime fight has eclipsed the 1 million mark since January 2015, when Wilder won the WBC heavyweight title from Bermane Stiverne"

These are actual facts, not fanboys talking unproven shiet. Wilder has huge ratings vs fairly unknown opponents.

Maybe it won't do 1mil buys, but I'm sure it'll be close to it. Joshua said "if they think the fight is worth $100mil, send me a contract guaranteeing me $50mil and you have a fight" wilder's team sent that contract a week later lol. Why do you think wilder's team were so fast to guarentee Joshua $50mil? Because the fight is worth $100mil or very close to it.

Do you have any idea what you’re spewing?

Hbo having more subscribers has nothing to donwith anything. Lets start there.

Most (if not all) people who have HBO *for*boxing have it for showtime. Most hbo users have hbo for other content...like Game of Thrones.

Want made up research or actual comparisons?

Here we go. GGG, bigger name than Wilder, more views, yada yasa..over a mill on HBO....know how much he sold for PPV?

        Canelo-GGG sold a ton.

Not a 100 million dollar fight.

You think because Wilder’s team “accepted” an offer that was never serious that its worth that? Wilder was literally going to end up fighting for free or less... paying 50 mil to AJ does NOT mean it’s a 100 mil fight nor does it mean the fight makes that much.

Why dont you give us all, through your research, the proof of how Wilder has been at LEAST a 50 million dollar fighter..somethin even Joshua isn't.

Some PPV also..not free tv....where hes one of the most watched (by numbers )from whats considered the second hand boxing channel.

1mil free tv watches doesnt equal nearly a mil BUYS. Where are you coming up with this insane concept?

Aj is a star, but not in the US. But who knows, really..he’s never even been here.

Hw boxing has literally been called dead in boxing for a LOOOOONG time. Wladimir was huge out in europe (Germany in particular) but people still didnt care in the US. Wilder was around at the same time and nobody cared or is showing they care. Not in large enough numbers yet at least. Wilder is building a good name now. But not a 50 million dollar one....

The only two close to being that are Canelo and then AJ in the Uk. I shouldnt have to remind you the kind of numbers Canelo has been a part of and how even those didnt translate to 100mil....you did your research, so you already know

Here you go regarding GGGvsCanelo. ACTUAL FACTS, NOT THAT FANBOY SHIET YOU TALKING ABOUT.

"The fight surpassed Mayweather-Álvarez to achieve the third highest gate in boxing history. ESPN reported the fight generated $27,059,850 from 17,318 tickets sold. 934 complimentary tickets given out, according to the NSAC. Mayweather vs. Álvarez sold 16,146 tickets to produce a live gate of $20,003,150.[29]

The replay, which took place a week later on HBO averaged 726,000, peaking at 840,000 viewers.[30] The LA Times reported the fight generated 1.3 million domestic PPV buys. Although HBO didn't make an official announcement, it is believed that the revenue would exceed $100 million"

Fight deft surpassed $100mil in revenue. And regardless of what you say about HBO vs Showtime subscribers, it deft does matter. Wilder constantly pulls in the same amount of viewers that GGG does with a 1/3 of the subscribers. And your point about GGG PPV #s are irrelevant as well. Dude faced lemuix; Fooking lemuix dude. Joshua and wilder are both 1000000x more popular than fooking lemuix. Why do you think wilder's team was so fast and eager to propose Joshua $50mil GUARANTEED for the fight; they know its worth around the $100mil

          • If the fight would generate $100M+ in the UK, then why did Shirley take the $50M offer off the table for a Wimbley fight???

            Yikes...
