But Joshua himself must be beginning to mentally crumb under the intense scrutiny. He usually tries to be cool and think before he speaks. Now he's letting Jarrell Miller get under his skin, and he's telling fans to go fight Wilder themselves. I've never heard a champion say anything like that.
Neither have I heard any fighter talk like that. I think he is not as strong mentally as many thought. He is used to being liked and loved by everyone who catered to his ego. If the man can't take criticism then his stay at the top will be even shorter than I thought lol I thought a Wilder right hand will dethrone him, but I guess WORDS may do it first!! Shamful....

It’s becuase he doesn’t have any fans where Joshua fights and there’s a whole world outside of America. I know it’s a tough concept to grasp but there are a lot of people in Europe, plenty to sell out stadiums many times over. He doesn’t need Wilder, Wilder needs him.

The only reason for AJ to chase Wilder at all costs would be for ego, to get respect, to have ‘all’ the belts. He’s saying ‘why bother?’ because in 10 years from now he’ll be done and richer for managing his career cleverly. Smart man.
Sounds like the thoughts of a Coward...

There was also the whole "DIFFERENCES IN WEIGHT TOO!" This is not even close to that scenario.

At the end of the day he has Povetkin in front of him now. April date is already booked, Wilder just need to sign his part of the contract if Joshua beats Povetkin, am not going to accuse Joshua of ducking just because his resume so far after 20 fights is something no one at HW can argue about. If he was saying this after 40 fights then hmm but he has proven that as a prospect he was willing to take risks that no one currently at HW took.
I posted the full interview on the 5th page

That goes both ways, however. If fans, like yourself, defend a fighter who so blatantly ducked the biggest fight there is to be made, then Joshua and co. will question why take risks when you can take safe fights and the fans will still flock to your side.

At the end of the day, this is a business. A business of entertainment and the most entertaining fights are the most competitive. No one fighter can carry the sport alone. It is our jobs, as the customers of this business known as boxing, to set aside any personal attachment to any one fighter and DEMAND the best fight the best NOT defend fighters refusing to take risks.

And yes, Joshua absolutely ducked Wilder. It's not up for debate.
This very well may be the best response to the old "this is a business" comment. Supply and Demand man, Supply and Demand! Salute!

Did day just break in his eyes? If he can't sign the contract, let him continue with his cans.
AJ/povetkin ticket is on massive sale and there is nothing wilder fans can do about it.
Pained? No. Disappointed that a world champion is telling me to train and fight the other world champion? Yes. Disappointed that a world champion said give me $50M and I'll sign tomorrow? Yes.

I'm not terribly concerned with ppv numbers and ticket sales. Canelo vs Liam Smith outsold Ward vs Kovalev, but I know which one was the better fight. Your quite should more accurately read
AJ is going to keep ducking, and there's nothing Wilder fans can do about it
