It is not just about the money, that is why he already conceded to everything. Joshua would automatically get a rematch and the split would still probably be in his favor. This why I was so made at the WBA for taking Ortiz out of their rankings when he was Joshuas mandatory, put they kept Povetkin (you know Hearn had something to do with it).

    $50 mil
    Fight in your hometown
    Automatic rematch clause

What is Wilder really asking for? a split of the revenue like Parker got? If they want Wilder to take a flat fee they better not put it on PPV in the US.

Hearn can keep filling stadiums with Joshua for years.

How much would he wan't to pay someone who could potentially ruin that ?

Got a feeling Wilder would have to pay Hearn for him to accept the fight.
... it's more about Hearn's business model in the UK: selling out stadiums and Sky ppvs!... it started with Froch vs Ugly Kid...

Honestly I think the blame for May-Pac happening as late as it did can be divided pretty evenly. Both sides made themselves difficult to deal with and negotiations were mutually a bad tempered mess right up until the fight got made.

This time, the obstruction is almost exclusively on one side. I don't think Wilder's side has been perfect in the negotiations but they've mostly been reasonable and definitely worked a lot harder to try and make the fight get made, whereas Hearn had nothing but unreasonable demands, obnoxious insults and excuses the whole way through. Like I say, I've seen ducks, but this is the only time where it felt like a concerted effort was made to stall until the WBA bailed them out.

Well then he'd be in breach of contract for the sum of $15m, plus any other damages that might be in the reasonable contemplation of the parties at the time the contract was made. Not to mention it would be an absolute PR disaster for Hearn.

Lol you really think they would allow the rematch in the USA?? That would be another reason to duck.

My feeling though is that should Wilder accept Eddie's terms, Eddie will quickly find a way to not have the fight. I'm absolutely convinced of that.
I would also but Im sure they would pull that offer if Wilder takes it. I dont believe one word from those UKunts!

I agree apart from the last sentence. It's vastly more difficult to avoid the fight once the signatures are down. Hearn could be sued for breach of contract and the PR damage would be enormous. I seriously doubt that he's willing to expose himself to that level of commercial risk

Every time Wilder agrees to something they throw in another obstacle. Wilder went online and said he agreed to the terms, and then Hearn says they need to make a few changes to the contract. Why not just send Wilder's side a signed contract so they know everything is final?

You can't just pull an offer that you've made once it has been accepted. This is a very long-standing principle of contract law.

Once the offer has been accepted by Wilder it will form a binding contract
