  • Comments Thread For: Demetrius Andrade To Sign With Matchroom, Fight on DAZN

Two weeks after parting ways with his former promoters, Demetrius Andrade has a new one. BoxingScene.com has learned that Andrade's manager, Ed Farris, is in the process Friday of finalizing a promotional deal with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing USA. As part of that multi-fight agreement, Andrade's bouts will be streamed live in the United States on DAZN, the streaming service with which Matchroom recently partnered.

Hopefully this helps jump start his career because in recent years his career hasn't gone anywhere but down the drain.

That's a good signing. Him going to HBO didn't result in any meaningful fights so let's not get too excited too quick but if this deal gets him home advantage for the BJS fight that could count for a lot.

Good move. Whether he fights BJS or not he’ll at least be fighting!

Dude’s career management has been atrocious thus far.

This was obvious. And this is great for Andrade who will get paid and hopefully become active now.

So this is definitely heading into a purse bid. DAZN has a bunch of money to throw out, and I don't think Warren will have him BJS vacate if he loses the purse bid.

One of the signing I predicted last week.

I know it's all preliminary talks and optional at this point, however if he did pursue his mandatory status as the #1 contender for the WBO title why won't the fight happen?

First it leads to a BJS showdown and then if he wins and Jacobs wins the IBF belt, they could either unify against each other or against the winner of GGG/Canelo.

So true; I agree. This is the best career move he has made in years.
