Wilder was with SHO & Klitschko was with HBO. Klitschko was committed to Jennings and then had Fury waiting as double mandatory. Finkel knew the fight didn't make sense until 2016. So he was honest that the fight wouldn't be rushed, Wilder would make two quick defenses and then look for bigger fights. There was nothing unreasonable about any of that. Klitschko vs. Wilder was the plan for 2016 and Wilder was very vocal before the Fury fight about wanting to unify with Klitschko in 2016.

I love wilder but he's difficult. He's fought 39 bums, whilst Josh has beaten half of the boxers in current top ten.
Wilder is getting a bad deal on basis he's not done anything in career therefore isn't a name.

If the main goal was a chance to win four more belts and become king in the division, then yes. The fight didn't materialize. I don't care if you offered $100 million, the goal was still not met.
And what are the other options? A long line of Breazeale types for $1 - 2 mil each, as opposed to $15 million, plus a chance to be Queen?

Bernd Boente was Klitchko manager and Finkel was crossed out on making the Joshua vs Klitchko fight bc ppl knew how difficult he was to deal with so Hearn dealt with other guys thats why the Klitchko fight actually was agreed to with no b.s involved .Last edited by juggernaut666; 07-14-2018, 05:25 AM.
