... because Miller and Brezeale are lesser fighters .

Look at boxrec or the Ring Magazine ratings as an example both have Povetkin higher rated.

Brezeale and Miller aren't bad but Povetkins record is way better.

There are only two guys in the division that are head and shoulders above the rest, and they're Wilder and Joshua. I think third would be Ortiz, and Wilder already beat him. After that maybe Parker or Pulev.

I think Povetkin looked shot against Price. Only issue was, Price looked even more shot. Joshua should make easy work of Povetkin. I don't see Povetkin as better than guys Joshua has already beaten. Not at his age and without his PEDs.

All right, now that I can’t get behind. F ucking with the man’s pride at this point and this is spiteful and he knows it. There’s A side - B side expectations but you don’t raise it and then lower it, especially if it’s flat fee. Sure, Joshua will raise his profile but that has nothing to do with that. That just means Joshua gets more money, not Wilder less.

That’s sleazy as f uck, even for a promoter. F uck out of here with that.

He's not wrong though. Who's value will increase more, Joshua after beating Povetkin in front of 90,000 people at Wembley or Wilder after beating Breazeale in front of 12,000 in Alabama? It's pretty obvious.

As a boxing fan, you should be eager to see the best fight the best instead of being concerned with how much money a multi-millionaire is going to earn for the fight. UK fight fans have little interest in seeing Joshua fight the best opponents available. That's the only plausible explanation for them defending and supporting Hearn/Joshua's diva-like negotiating stance. If your name is not Anthony Joshua, why do you care how much money he makes? You'd rather be denied the opportunity to see the fight because you're worried about Joshua's finances?

Wilder fanboys were adamant that he shouldn't sign for 15 million because it was an "insult" even though it would be 5 times his highest payday. This goes both ways.

To be honest, that's the only think that really bothers me out of this whole situation: AJ is 3 belt holder HW Champion and his promoter is doing ALL the talking. Obviously, I highly doubt that AJ is actually afraid of Wilder but how about speaking up a bit!

Forget about foolish fanboys. Fanboys don't do the negotiating. Wilder was willing to earn a fraction of what Joshua earns, and they still could not reach a deal. Now Hearn is saying Wilder deserves even less. That has nothing to do with fanboys. That is fear hiding behind greed.

Greed is not accepting 5 times your highest payday. And if Wilder didn't care about the money he would have signed the contract.
