Eleider Alvarez has taken a stand. According to Stephane Lepine, Alvarez’s manager, the planned Adonis Stevenson-Badou Jack fight will take place May 19 only if Alvarez, the mandatory challenger for Stevenson’s WBC light heavyweight title, is properly compensated to step aside and allow it. Lepine told rds.ca, a Canadian sports website, that negotiations are ongoing and that he hopes that an agreement is reached as soon as possible.
a week later:
Eleider Alvarez is headed toward a light heavyweight title fight against Adonis Stevenson’s rival, not Stevenson. Unable to come to a step-aside agreement with promoter Yvon Michel, BoxingScene.com has learned that Alvarez signed a contract Wednesday to challenge Sergey Kovalev for the WBO 175-pound championship sometime this summer. The Kovalev-Alvarez fight will be broadcast by HBO, but the date and venue haven’t been finalized.
The WBC's official rankings show that the last time Stevenson made a mandatory defense was on November 30, 2013 (Tony Bellew):

If you knew boxing, you’d know exactly what that means.. if you’d still doubt and really any of yous know it alls can try this, grab your balls and I know you won’t but walk into a gym at the very least you’d learn to not talk out of turn rightComment

Saunders got busy in 2017 then went back to his old ways of not being active and talking to much s***. Over him. Andrade is the same, both never fight and make excuses.Comment

Talk about high risk, low reward!!!
Dont really see how BJS beats Andrade.
As matching making goes, it may not be a stylistically pleasing fight but still intriguing.Comment
