Floyd Mayweather Jr certainly ducked and avoided a prime Pacquiao. He never avoided Oscar De La Hoya and instead actively sought the fight as it was the 'money' fight for him at the time.

I'd still like to see a rematch with Floyd vs Manny, I'd much rather see that than Floyd get destroyed in the Octagon. Floyd was old and trash vs Conor, Pac was old and trash vs Horn. Let the 2 old men fight again. It will still sell better than Canelo vs GGG 2.

I think that Floyd would win, but he didn't have confidence in winning.

Or someone (Roger or his father) said something to him, and took his confidence away.

If that's exactly it then why did he agree to a date, 50-50 split and accept all Pacquaio's demands literally a month after that fight?

                  It wasn't a real offer.

Floyd waited until Juan knocked him out, then fought him.

You guys are hilarious. There's no point in Manny's career where any knowlegadable fan would've bet he would be Floyd.

He didn't have the IQ for the job. Just look how easily he was getting caught with right hands when they did meet.

A younger Floyd would have probably stopped him in similar style to Hattton.

It's was just a bad style matchup all the way around.

before that fight, both sr and roger said manny has no chance against cotto and that why would pac's team put him in such a big risky fight. then he blasted cotto out and the ped accusation started rolling in
