You know the argument is sound when the guy refusing to take ped tests is the one being defended and arguments of “Floyd should have fought the cheat Margarito with plaster!” Are one of the points used.

I dislike Floyd, but honestly? Outside of the delusional ones, who wishes that on anyone of the sport they love? To have gone in against a cheat, who many attribute the fall of a great fighter (Cotto) to.

Shane in his prime? Shane and Oscar were both prime at different times than Floyd. The best we were ever going to get due to the differences in their careers at that time was a past it but still good Shane and Oscar. Yes, Floyd is the picture and the model of cherry picking and fighting guys when they were ripe for the picking, but Pacquiao was NOT one of those.

I’m not saying Pac used, but Arum held that fight back more than anyone else. Pac was in the fight even less than Canelo was.

For all the people saying Floyd only fights once a year or every two years and is fresher, etc..it’s not his fault Pacquiao was easy to hit and was getting KOd before they fought. Most guys need tuneups after long layoffs, but when it comes to floyd, whatever is used to criticise is whats used.

Yes, he cherrry picked. Yes, he’s something of a POS. Yes, he’s a defensive minded fighter once he moved up and had hand issues and made for some snoozers. By the time they fought, Floyd was a drastically different fighter than he was in his Pretty Boy days/prime. More noticeable than Pac’s decline.

The problem is that Pac “lost” his prime once guys started using defense to make him pay and hitting him back. “He was prime before JMM. He was prime for only the first two JMM fights.”

It’s like, to some people it’s unfathomable that some fighters were just *better* than him.

When was the end of his prime? When he stopped knocking people out after PEDs accusations? After beating Morales? After the first JMM fights? After Oscar? Cotto? Marg?

Mayweather was older and less active. Get over it. He’s just a better fighter. Pac was still a f uckin bad ass but there were two fighters in his weight classes that were better. JMM and Floyd. Pac was never the legitimate best in any division he shared with those two... that’s how facts work.

Pac became some like father figure to a couple freaks and it got really weird but its over. Stahp it

Or maybe because Floyd gets absolutely clowned for being more about what time he fought certain guys and how much the fights generated money wise than how it would play out legacy wise, no matter who's at fault.
Or maybe it's because only a shameless Floyd boy would put Floyd above guys who have stood the test of time. Or maybe its all of the above. Who knows man. That fool has issues.
Yeah but didn't you say Floyd shouldn't fight Pacquaio because it would be a mismatch?

We talking about the same Pacquiao that took 4 Saturday nights to resolve Marquez which he got knocked out. Mayweather only took 1 Saturday night which Marquez never want to fight him again....That Prime Pacquiao.....

Pacs greater he beat all common opponents much more convincing. Pac is the best of era.
More fights, more wins against greater opponents to boot.

Damn, I don't remember that. I'm not the best at keeping up with the news (unless it's fights being made).. From that standpoint, I can see why you would think 4 was a cherrypick.. But given how controversial 3 was, I figured we would get a 4th fight

I agree. He's also got 3 wins against him if not error in scorecard.
