Comments Thread For: Peter Fury: Hughie Will Have To Go The Mandatory Route Again!

Peter Fury watched his son, Hughie (21-1, 11 KOs), demolish Norwich’s Sam Sexton in five rounds to win the British heavyweight title in Bolton in May in what he believes was the perfect comeback performance following last September’s bitterly contested decision defeat to former WBO holder Joseph Parker at the Manchester Arena.

After his loss to Wladimir Pulev fell down fast. He still capped 5 wins, but against old and washed up guys. If it does get made I think Hughie will literally be the youngest guy Pulev has ever fought.

Let’s see if they will except the Pulev fight coming their way. They are next in line for the IBF. Beat Pulev & he is the mandatory. I’d favour Pulev but he is getting long in the tooth & he has carefully selected his opponents since getting destroyed by Klitschko. Fury could be getting Pulev at the right time if he takes the fight. I’m not sure if he goes to Bulgaria though. If he doesn’t take the fight the pecking order is Kabayel, Schwarz & Teper...

Still don't think he's going to Bulgaria where he has zero chance of winning. Hughie can't stop Pulev and he will never win on the cards down there

I really don't respect Hughie but if he accept the Pulev fight and travel to Bulgaria,I'll start respecting him

I've always liked Hughie, but any chance of a World title shot within 18 months is dream away. "Fa$t £ddie Hearn" has it pretty much sown up for the next year or more. So how about HF Vs Joe Joyce, Agit Kabayel or even Tony Bellew?!
